Doggie Do Good

We took our puppy to the 21 day training camp at Doggie Do Good. I was so nervous and emotional leaving her and Isaac put my nerves at ease. Not only did they teach our girl commands and manners, they gave her so much love. You could tell she had fun, and she was excited to be back when we had to board her there while on vacation. We are grateful for the staff and will definitely recommend them to all our family and friends

I was referred to DDG by a friend who has had 3 dogs trained there; her judgment is pretty good so I decided to take my 5 year old GSD/pit mix to camp for her aggression towards people and dogs. Soon after she started, I decided to put my 18 month old GSD in camp for aggression training as well; between his size and fear of other dogs I was aware that my own good, but still amateur, training skills are probably not good enough. (is ok to admit when you are in over your head and need help!) We really like this place. It's clean and well-tended, lots of outdoor spaces, round the clock human supervision, and the dogs they board get tons of attention and training time. They adhered to our dogs' diet and mealtimes, which i was grateful for. We met a couple of trainers briefly; they were friendly and appear to enjoy what they are doing, and are alert and attentive to the dogs in their care. Pretty fun to look out into a small grassy area and see a trainer surrounded by 12-15 dogs, all in a "down-stay." Isaac is the head aggression trainer there and we love him. He is very warm and personable, and explained everything clearly during our multi-hour instructional. We actually asked him to nitpick us as we learned, and he did a great job of showing us everything and helping us get everything right without anxiety. He operates with a lot of understanding, patience, and humor. The dogs have been home for three days now, and we have seen such amazing progress in both. The more fear-aggressive pit mix got some socialization with other dogs to help get over her fears of them. And they both are strong at the "leave it" cue, which helps them give each other space instead of squaring off when they're not into each other. This was our biggest hope--that we could influence them to co-exist in the house. It's happening. We're doin it! The hope & confidence we feel is remarkable--even though it's only been a few days, we know that as long as we follow DDG's directions and keep up both human and canine skills, things are only going to get better. We also really like that we can get one-hour training sessions online if we need help with any of the issues that DDG trained them on, for the rest of the dogs' lives. AND, after camp is completed they also offer discounted boarding rates; DDG is definitely where they will go the next time we take a vacation. We live in Los Angeles and this was well worth the 3 hour drive. I'll come back in a few months and update this review!

We had a in home private lesson today with Santiago and we were very impressed. Overall we learned some good tactics and techniques to work on with our dog. We are excited to put what we learned to use and hope this helps her leash aggression with other dogs! He explained everything very well and had a lot of knowledge. We will also be looking into boarding our dog there when we go out of town. Thank you!

Well if your familiar with an American Akita here you go! Loyal, Stubborn, Loving and pushes the limit best describes an Akita. Balto our Akita was having some issues obeying our commands and let me tell you he's come a loooooooooooong way after Doggie Do Good did their thing. He's doing better and as a family we are very thankful to the staff and the hard work they've put into Balto. I highly recommend the 21 day training. It's pricey but it comes with many benefits. I'd simply pick up the phone and ask as many questions you'd like. They don't only train your buddy, he becomes part of their family. One of the best decisions we made concerning our Balto was taking him here. Call them or email them. The staff is super responsive and very helpful. Good Luck!
