Look no further, Juan and Samantha are the professional trainers you want in your life. I was nervous about my boy Bentley's temperament since we have dealt with reactivity and aggression, but we both truly learned a lot during the 4-week course Dogability offers, and I am first handedly seeing Bentley's amazing transformation. Because of Dogabiltiy, I am living a much better life with my boy. There is structure, clear communication, and we even have a better partnership. I could have never imagined ourselves in the position we are now, and I will be forever grateful for that. Currently, we are finding a new hiking trail every other day to explore, having a blast during off leash walks and plays with amazing recall, and overall being able to enjoy an outing with much more confidence. I can even tell Bentley feels more confident in what he does Every day, we incorporate the skills he learned to ensure we can continue living this dream. Dogability truly loves what they do and I could not recommend anyone else to guide your pets to greater beginnings.

Juan and his team did nothing short of a miracle with our border collie, Boone. When we brought him in, Boone was bursting with energy, smart, eager, and totally wild. We loved him, but we struggled to channel that energy in a way that worked for our lifestyle. After training with Juan, Boone came back a completely transformed dog, not in spirit, but in partnership. He’s still the same happy, high-drive pup, but now he looks to us for direction, responds to cues with focus and clarity, and thrives in a structured, communicative relationship that we never knew was possible. Thanks to the foundation Juan helped us build, we now have the freedom to trust Boone off-leash in new environments, something that felt unimaginable just a few months ago. Whether it’s trail running, biking, or exploring new places, Boone stays close, checks in, and responds immediately when called. This training didn’t just improve his obedience, it completely changed the quality of his life. He gets to do more of what he loves with the people who love him, and we get to bring him with us everywhere, confidently and safely. I truly can’t recommend Juan and his team enough. They not only unlocked Boone’s potential, they gave us the tools and language to keep growing together. It’s been one of the most meaningful investments we’ve made for our family.

I highly recommend Dogability Dog Training. Juan trained our Great Dane and our hound dog about eight years ago. Our Great Dane passed away a few years ago and we recently got a new Great Dane. We knew when we decided to get a new dog that we would be sending her to Juan and his team at Dogability. I can't imagine having a dog without Juan's training - the difference once they are done with training is night and day and Juan's team does all the hard work so all we have to do is just maintain it. Dottie just came home from training yesterday and she is doing fantastic! She sits calmly at my feet while I'm watching tv, unless I invite her onto the couch with me. She is perfect on a leash when we go on walks. Dottie is not yet a year old so she has a lot of energy, which can be hard with a dog her size, but now she is a calm member of our family and we are enjoying her so much. I was on the fence about bringing my dog to an e-collar training bootcamp given my dog was, for the most part, very well behaved. Her biggest issues were reactivity on the leash (I'm lucky enough to have a big enough property to rarely walk her) and jumping on guests. I was also concerned with her not having 100% recall, especially when she was distracted (e.g., squirrel, neighbor dogs wanting to play across the fence). In the end (my dog completed the course about 2 months ago), I'm very glad I made the decision to have my dog go to the camp. While I don't use the e-collar all the time at this point, she is much better behaved when it comes to recall, reactivity on the leash, and meeting guests. If I expect a situation where she may need the e-collar for extra comfort (e.g., contractor visiting the house), I'll throw it on her, but I rarely have to use it. Juan and his team did an amazing job and were very pleasant to work with. I obviously read all the life-changing training he is able to provide, but I wasn't sure if it was worth the time/money for my dog's "minor" issues. Having gone through the experience, I would highly recommend Dogability for anyone that has even minor issues or just wants to feel comfortable taking their dog off-leash.

Our wild child dog Duck has been home from his time with Dogability for 2+ weeks, and the results are AMAZING. We were super nervous about sending him away for training, but after 3+ years of trying with other trainers on our own, behaviorist visits, meds, etc., we were at our wit's end with Duck's behavior (growling/lunging at our toddler, chasing the cat, super excitable, never listening, jumping repeatedly on visitors, etc etc etc). I even asked Juan if they've ever sent a dog home from training because they couldn't work with them. Juan assured me they could and would be able to both handle and care for Duck, and of course he was right. Now, Duck is an absolute joy to be with now. He is still his wiggly, happy, loving self. Samantha and Juan taught him to be BORED! He's able to hang out in the yard or go on hikes to explore due to his off-leash training (photo of us enjoying an off-leash hike). Our on-leash walks together are lovely and easy. He is re-trained to his crate and sleeps in one of his "places" while we work or cook dinner or need him to be out from under foot. Even our cat feels safe enough to sleep next to him now. And with Juan and Samantha's guidance, we feel like we know how to communicate with him in a clear way. I could go on, but if you're looking for a program that will really teach your dog to be a companion, and help you reframe your relationship with your dog too, this is it.
