Dog Training With Miri

I have been struggling with my dog's leash reactivity for quite some time now. I had been doing a lot of research on different dog trainers. I also knew that my husband and I needed training just as much as the dog did so it was important to me to find someone who we could work with easily. I appreciated Miri's honesty about being realistic about how long it might take to change the behavior and that there is no quick fix. I also appreciated at our initial consultation that I immediately came away with some tools to start working with my dog. Miri is very friendly and passionate about dog training. She uses a positive but firm approach and teaches you how to advocate for your dog. She also shared helpful resources so that I could continue to do the work in between sessions. After a 10 session package I've definitely seen good improvement and my dog absolutely loves Miri. My dog is still a work in progress but after working with Miri, I definitely have more confidence and more knowledge about my dogs behavior, how my husband and I contribute to it and how we can work with her to fix it which is exactly what I was looking for.

We had the pleasure of working with Miri as our potty trainer for our beloved Shih tzu, and we couldn't be more impressed with the results and the overall experience. We were clear from the moment we met Miri that we could trust her completely- that she had the experience and the heart to love, take care of and train our 7 month old puppy for a month while we were visiting family in France. Miri knew how much we were missing our baby and she kept in close communication with texts , videos and photos. She reassured us when we were afraid our puppy wouldn’t remember us and she built our puppy’s skills, including her confidence with other dogs and humans, reinforced the basic commands we had started to teach her and trained her beautifully on loose leash walking, “place” , stay, drop It, recall, etc. Miri also broke the puppy’s bad habit of jumping on people. And all of this with positive (not punitive) teaching strategies. We unconditionally and without any reservations, recommend Miri and will definitely use her to take care of our pup in the future!
