When our sweet but headstrong and energetic Pit Bull, Nala joined our family, we didn't realize what a challenge it would be to train her. Luckily, we found Western States K-9 College and life with Nala became much more manageable and fun. She helped us to set clear boundaries and rules for Nala so now we feel confident that Nala will behave when expected. We continue to rely on the experience and expertise of Joe and her crew to fine tune Nala's behavior through "walk and trains" and occasional classes. It's truly a pleasure to have a dog that's well behaved and happy to follow us as her leaders. We can't thank WSK9 College enough!

Joe is hands down the best dog trainer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. When I adopted my dog 4 years ago I knew he came with behavorial issues, but I had no idea how hard they would be to work through. We’ve come a long way, but I knew I needed more. I had taken Joe’s CGC class with my other dog and was impressed with the amount of knowledge she gave and how much she understood dog behavior. I signed up for a series of private lessons and I the improvement that I have seen in my dog, and in myself, is amazing. My dog will always be a work in progress, but the direction and advice she provides does wonders. I am so grateful I found Joe!

We have had problems with all of our dogs' behavior throughout each of their lives. We had gone to several other trainers and never got the results we were looking for. We love our dogs, but their behavior in public was keeping us from being able to do things with them and enjoy them more. We thankfully found Joe and her awesome team. We had private in-home lessons with all 4 of our dogs and the results we have had by implementing her training techniques have been amazing. Our dogs are happier and much more well adjusted. We now have a much better understanding of our dogs and have the tools and knowledge to maintain our training. We took our 2 young rescue dogs to the Canine Good Citizens course that Western States offers and it was so helpful. We recommend everyone who asks us about training to Joe and her team. We could not be happier with the entire experience. Joe is a true expert and always willing to give encouragement and advice for any problems that may arise. We definitely plan to continue the wonderful different classes they offer. Not only did we love working with Joe and her team, but our dogs loved it too.

We have 2 mixed, high energy dogs in our household. When the dogs were 2 years and 1 years old we knew we needed professional help in training them, as they were out of control and were developing some bad behaviors. Our vet recommend Joe for our training needs, she came to our house to evaluate the dogs in their own environment. We decided that private lessons would work best for our dogs and us. Joe not only was able to train our dogs, but more importantly was able to train us to work with our dogs effectively. We also have taken a few group classes, which really helped socialize our dogs with other dogs and people, which was a huge problem before we started working with Joe. One of our biggest success stories was when a 3 year old girl walked up to our older dog, with our permission, and hugged him and he just sat there being all cool with it; before working with Joe, we would not let any kids near our older dog as he thought they were a snack for him. Joe is great to work with and continues to be there for us if we have any questions about new behaviors that arise with our pups. Joes’ training techniques are direct and consistent and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great dog trainer. Our dogs are now 4 and 5 years old and are great dogs to have in our lives.
