While it’s a common goal, it’s not a basic command - it requires a solid foundation in on-leash obedience and good manners at home first. Once those are in place, we can build up to off-leash training, ensuring your dog responds even with distractions like rabbits and squirrels. This is something we work on regularly with clients, and we’d love to help!

How old should my dog be for training?
Training is important for dogs in all stages of life. The impact of proper socialization and training on a young puppy will impact them for their entire lives! Adult dogs also get huge benefits from training and owners should not believe the old saying that “old dogs can’t learn new tricks” We love helping owners improve their relationship with their dogs of all ages.
