Dogs Best Friend Services Apopka, Altamonte Springs, Maitland, Winter Park, Lake Mary, Sanford, Orlando and surrounding areas. For over 30 years, I have worked with all different breeds to rehabilitate behavior and obedience issues. Also, and even more importantly, trained the humans to communicate their message in a language the dog understands. A happy dog is one who learns rules, boundries, structure, limitations, discipline, and has a strong, consistent and loving human pack leader.

What people have asked about this business.
Should I be the Alpha dog by using brute force?
Absolutely not! The most powerful pack leaders are the ones that say and do the least. The way to gain control over your dog is to use calm relaxed quiet energy. Less is more. Besides, people who think they should “alpha role” their dog usually wind up getting bitten or scratched, or worse hurt their dog physically. There are much better ways to be your dog’s “Alpha” leader. Respect is what is lacking here. You can gain your dog’s respect by using calm, relaxed energy instead of brute force.
Why is my dog showing aggression toward people or other dogs?
Most times it's because they were not socilized when they were young. Also, they were never shown how they are supposed to act by the humans in their life. your dog may be nervous, axious, fearfull, uncertain, insecure. All these will trigger aggresion. For example, barking, growling, lunging at guests when they come in the house. Your dog isn't sure what they're supposed to do when the doorbell rings and you open the door. That uncertainty could be the cause. The dog doesn't know what to do so they go back to a primal state which is to bark growl etc. I teach people how to communicate with their dog so they know how to greet with a calm state of mind. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call anytime.

I contacted Paul because my husband was at his breaking point with our 18 mo. Rottweiler. He was ready to contact a rescue. She was out of control. She drug us around while on leash, ran off from us, didn’t listen and kept putting her mouth on us. Paul came to see us yesterday, his response to our plea for help was immediate. Paul taught us her behavior was a result of us not being in charge. Gigi responded to Paul with respect and a calmness she have never displayed before. We were taught so much. Gigi had such amazing results, she was actually able to have a short walk yesterday with nothing catching her attention, which would have previously ended in her running off. We can never thank Paul enough. We are now on the road to a very harmonious life with Gigi. If you are ready to have a change in you parent/pup relationship Paul is your man! Thank you so much Paul.

Paul came out to my home this morning for a 2 hour behavioral session with my 115 lb Cane Corso! My Brody is massive, but from the moment Paul walked through the door, Brody’s whole demeaner changed. Paul was stern, yet effective with his training. Everything he taught me, made total sense. I am looking forward to putting this training to use! Thank you so much Paul!

I have 2 puppies that are stubborn and have a lot of separation anxiety. We had tried almost everything, calming treats, play music when we're not around, day care, lots of play time to get their energy out. Literally within 20 mins you can see a change in my dogs, Lulu and Ollie were so calm by the end of the training, it was almost as if my dogs have changed personalities.

Dear Paul,
Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough. We rescued Marshall on Saturday and has a rough 48 hours. I contacted you and you responded and came over the house the same day. The difference in both of my dogs is amazing. I learned how to be the pack leader and my dogs are the beneficiary. What I thought was impossible was indeed possible with confidence and understanding. You are a blessing and will never forget you. Thanks for linking the training videos so I can refresh. We had a wonderful walk this evening. The first of many. Cheers!

We mainly contacted Paul as our new Dog had very big anxiety and on the first attempt to bring her together with our other Dog she snapped at him (Both a good weight Old English Bulldogs, so you don't really want to have to pull them appart if they get into a fight).
As she was already a big pile of sadness as we got her we didn't want to mess it more up. So we contacted Paul for 2h in house training and he started right on arrival with the work on our first Dog (where we thought he doesn't need much training), but within 15 Minutes he was already an even better Dog, then we started to work on the behaviour of his humans and how they can be better pack leader and then we got to our main reason why we contacted him, Leia, and he brought the two together without any issues.
We then directly did a walk with the two side by side and afterwards the whole pack sat down together in the Living room without any growling or other type of aggression.
To be honest at the beginning I was a bit sceptical, but as more he explained about the reason of their behaviour, what and how to correct and how to interact with them it made more and more sense.
As a result of our 2h Session we got way more than we where expecting and he made us a much better and happier pack. We're still seeing huge progress with our new Dog every Day just by using the Methods he taught us!
Thank you Paul for helping us so much!
