Dog Retreat Center

Teri and the staff at the Dog Retreat Center went above and beyond with our 5 year old Lab. We knew our pup was well cared for and loved during his stay, and we even received videos showing his progress and social/playtime with the other dogs. The staff clearly communicated what their training methodology and plan was as well as what we could expect both while our dog was at the center and when we brought him home. Teri patiently “trained” the people in our family so we could continue the Follow the Leader process at home. We have been very impressed with the entire experience from the clean, inviting facility to the results we are seeing with our calmer dog at home. I highly recommend the Dog Retreat Center.

We are very happy with our dog, Aldo's, training at Dog Retreat Center, especially his remarkable growth in socialization and appropriate play with other dogs. After adopting him a few months ago, we recognized we needed help to grow Aldo's confidence and skills. Teri, d'Andra, Kelsey and the rest of the team at Dog Retreat Center have been great helping us reach our training goals and Aldo is always excited to go to Day Stay.

I cannot say enough great things about Terri and everyone at Dog Retreat Center! Through their training, we've strengthened our bond with our dogs and they truly are becoming "calm followers." We have curbed destructive, anxious, and aggressive behaviors with our rescue dogs. I have done dog training programs through petco and petsmart, and I struggle to even call them training programs after working with Dog Retreat Center. It is a totally different experience with life-long tools.

The trainers at the Dog Retreat Center are top notch. They do a great job of not only training dogs in the most respectful way but also, and more importantly, training owners. The team at the DRC will love your dog like you do. I also think this team is honest and will help you adjust your dog owner expectations. The facility is super clean and bright. For training, they have added in so many great opportunities for distractions to help further grow and develop your dog in training. If you are on the fence about dog training, give this team a shot!
