Dog Guard of Central Indiana

We were really hesitant about deciding to get an invisible fence because one of our dogs is very stubborn and was used to playing with the neighbor dog in their yard. But after training for 2 weeks, we were amazed that it was working. She did run through a couple times when she was first introduced to distractions but since then it is like a new world to them and us. It is the best money we’ve ever spent. Just being able to open the door and see them run and play and be so happy makes us so happy too!! And Mike is great! Super helpful at all times!!

It was a great experience working with Mike, the owner. The product and service were outstanding. Working directly with Mike from the beginning was very easy as we were busy moving and he handled all the details making it very easy on us. Zero issues with the equipment and it works great. Mike also did the installation and did so in a timely manner. He helped me with the training process and provided detailed instructions for continued training. Could not be happier. Mike was super friendly and he thoroughly delivered and was great training our dog. I never write reviews but Mike 100% earned my review.

We had our Dog Guard installed today. Mike was on time, friendly, and answered all of my questions. He took the time to work with both of our dogs (large 8 year old chocolate lab and small 1 1/2 year old pit bull terrier mix) one on one to show me how to properly train them over the next week. Mike was able to lay the fencing exactly where we wanted it pretty quickly and came in under the price he initially quoted us. I have taken the dogs out 3 times today to train them (5 mins at a time) and it is very apparent they’re already putting together what their new boundaries are. I also like that the training starts with audible indications from the collars and does not start with them being confused and afraid by being shocked. I contacted Mike with Dog Guard over a year ago (when we first bought our home) for a quote. At the time we decided to wait as we had to work on some immediate home improvement needs. Mike never pressured or bothered us after we made that decision. When the time came I contacted him again and he got on his schedule. Overall great experience and a relief that in a short time (once the dogs are used to it) we won’t have to worry about them wandering into the busy road we live on or the neighbor’s pond.
