Dog Expert Cyd!

I'm Cyd's inaugural Montara client! We conducted our first meet via a Zoom session due to Fogfest and a music festival making reaching our wee village challenging. The session went quite well! Pippa already has a basic training foundation, so we started off with 'Take it' and 'Hold it', a prelude to teaching her to put away her toys. Despite my previous attempts yielding no result, Cyd's wealth of knowledge helped kickstart Pippa's journey on this new task. I feel my daily practise with Pippa has been progressing at a good pace. Looking forward to our in-person meetup to work on building blocks for 'Calm with the cats'.

Cyd really knows her stuff when it comes to positive reinforcement training and working with dogs in a way that works for them. We worked with Cyd for our highly reactive terrier who was also having some anxiety adjusting to our toddler. After working with Cyd, we are able to go on walks without barking/lunging on the leash which makes them so much relaxing for everyone. Cyd gave us techniques to help our dog get more comfortable around our toddler, which means they can play and interact. Above all, Cyd helped us to communicate better with our dog so we have a better relationship that makes all of us happy. Our dog is more relaxed, more communicative and more confident thanks to Cyd.

We hired Cyd because our beloved basset hound had developed anxiety around kids and was starting to respond aggressively whenever he saw children. We were feeling very stressed out by this issue and were afraid that it was just a matter of time before someone got bit. Cyd came to the rescue and really turned things around. She taught us how to manage the behavior and had tons of helpful advice. Our hound absolutely loved her and looked forward to the sessions (and all the treats.) We actually had fun with it as well. Cyd was always responsive, dependable, on time, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Working with Cyd has made us better dog owners and has been a game changer for our family. The service she provides was reasonably priced and was well worth every penny.

Cydni was a pleasure to work with! I am grateful for her help with my dog’s anxiety of new people and crowded spaces. Her techniques have helped Dottie and I better communicate and changed how we approach the world together. Her sessions were fun, educational, and flexible. Cyd is absolutely amazing! Our over enthusiastic Boston had a habit of jumping on people which she coached us to correct. My favorite thing about her is that she comes from a place of making the dog happier and more fulfilled. So not only is our dog now well trained, he's also leading a happier life- and it shows!! I couldn't recommend working with her enough, she truly loves dogs and is passionate about her job. She's had such a positive impact on our family!!
