Dog Expert Cyd!

I was searching for a behavior-modification trainer for my 2½-year-old Maltipoo, Sandy, and Cyd at True Training 101 was highly recommended by another dog trainer. I’m so glad I found her. Sandy struggled with anxiety (she was even on Paxil), reactivity toward strangers, and constant lunging at birds. Within a short time working with Cyd, the transformation has been incredible. Sandy is now off Paxil, walks calmly on leash, and her reactivity has decreased significantly. Cyd helped us greatly with our Samoyed pup. She has a lot of experience with snow breeds (notoriously difficult to train) and owns a husky herself. She’s a fun and helpful trainer that we come back to for any issues! We are especially amazed with how well crate training went and it sticks out to us just how much our pup loves her crate now in contrast to other pups. She also sends lots of emails with helpful e-books and pdfs she drafts. Overall we trust Cyd with our dog training and highly recommend her.

Cyd was a huge help when I recently got my first dog, Carmie. Carmie was a rescue and less than a year old and I was a bit out of my depth. Cyd came to my house and gave me and my pup very personal training. Cyd is incredibly caring about canine welfare and it is clear she has done a lot of research on the subject. She is very clear that she is against using any aversive techniques in dog training and will only use positive reinforcement. Cyd does more than just train dogs, she also trains owners to effectively handle and train their own dogs. I was very appreciative that she was able to work around my schedule and come to my house for training. It made everything a lot easier for a frazzled guy trying to deal with a new dog.
