Dog Dudes K9 Training

I had Andy traîne my 7 months old Rottweiler, 9 days board training, He was very professional, sent me videos of her in training everyday, with explanations of what he was doing with her, and answering any questions I may have had. He was super nice , and thought me afterwards what I should do with her, so, training me as well! I highly recommend his services to anyone who needs dog training!! 5 stars ⭐️

Andy, his wife, and Dean are awesome! Our dog didn’t require too much training so we did a 8 day board and train. Andy sent us photos/videos every day and followed up after our dog was finished. He emphasized that he’s always there if we have questions before we even sent our payment as well as after we picked up our dog. Since picking him up, we’ve noticed decreased zoomies around the house which is fantastic for us as have a lazy dog and 2 young kids and he listens to commands a lot faster. Even though our dog didn’t exhibit reactivity while he was with Andy until the handoff when Dean arrived with another dog, Andy gave us tips on how to navigate that if we experienced it during walks (our main problem). His wife is also awesome! Both of them handled our busy toddler like a champ. It’s hard to do dog training with a toddler who’s dumping water all over himself in 30 degree weather and wants to run around the streets. She and Andy gave us towels to dry him off and plenty of toys to entertain him so that we could work as a family rather than just 1 of us do the training and the other watches the kids. We stumbled upon Dog Dudes K9 Training via a Facebook post. Andy and Cara's dog Winnie is a therapy dog who sits with kids at schools while they read. After reaching out and having a good conversation with Andy, come to find out he has trained 7 of our veterinarian's dogs! We are two counties over, so that was all I needed to know. When we dropped Grace off with Andy, at almost 2 years old, she had never been anywhere besides the vet and 1 or 2 family members homes. She is a typical Golden Retriever with so much enthusiasm for life and everybody she sees. Her jumping, her running the show, and just impulsivity had gotten a tad out of hand at home. (All due to us, naturally) We wanted to be able to take her with us when we go places, when we camp and hike, etc. For the entire 2 weeks, I don't think 24 hours went by that I didnt receive a text, a video, or picture or all of what she was up to and some practical tips from Andy. He was in constant communication and so positive and confident in her that I couldn't help but get that same feeling just from the communication about her and seeing her progress. On day 14 we went as a family of 4, two young boys included, and finally got to pick up our girl. Andy spent 2 hours walking all of us through everything she can do and what we need to do, from our tone, our movements, all of it. There were distractions galore during that time. Other dogs, a trash truck, kids on dirt bikes, playing basketball, etc. Grace shined. Then came the next big step for her. We decided on a whim we would go to Bass Pro with her straight from Andy's house. And our girl was a Rockstar! She heeled, she was easy to redirect when needed, she sat, she got all the pets and loving, she even had compliments about her behavior. And all I could do was beam for her. Because she wanted so bad to work hard and show that she could do it. Two weeks prior to this, we could never have imagined taking her into a Bass Pro shopping with us, like for almost two hours! Already, this has been special for our family and we have made a sweet memory with her. We are so grateful to Andy for his integrity, confidence, kindness, and patience with our dog, but also with our family.

I witnessed Andy "in action" today with a sweetheart of a chocolate Lab & I was very impressed! Both with his calm & commanding demeanor, but also with his genuine love for what he's doing. His pupils was very bouncy & full of Lab chaos, but never once did he jump me or get out of hand. Andy would speak & the pupper would obey. Great work! From what I've seen, I wouldn't hesitate to let Andy train any dog I had! I'm definitely keeping him in mind, because I've been thinking about getting a dog!! Look him up - he's an awesome guy!! And training works two ways, it helps you with your beloved dog, but it also is for their wellbeing, too. A well trained dog is happier & less likely to harm either themselves or someone/thing else.

Andy was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. He is always honest in how he feels the dog is doing in training, and his confidence never wavered in what he could do for our family. Without him, we would probably have continued to misunderstand where the behaviors were coming from. He helped us not only with our dogs, but with the communication of frustrations we had with trying to merge our pets into one household after living separately for so long. We love Andy and will be bringing our puppies to work with him in the future!!
