I adopted a 4 yo sm cocker spaniel mix from PAWS this past Fri. Since being home she has lunged & tried to attack two guys that have come over to visit. I believe she has been prev abused by a man. Can u help & how much would u charge
I have a 115 lb German shepherd and took him to the weekly classes and cost $89 I think. Excellent trainer and will work with you at class.

This is a google user forum, so you probably need to speak with Joe directly. I can tell you that my 110lb German Shepherd has major insecurity issues and used to make quite a scene around people or dogs he didn't know. We tried professional positive reinforcement training that didn't help at all. Joe showed us how to carefully and correctly use negative reinforcement training, and we can trust our dog isn't likely to hurt us or someone else anymore. It's a lot of work, but if you do what Joe says and stick with it, it helps. Also, he works with animal control and APL to help check out animals for adoption and identify training issues. He's an expert. His rates vary, but it's worth it. Good luck!!

They are extremely kind and knowledgeable when it comes to puppy training and they have been happy to be involved in the process with our little guy. I would for sure recommend them to anybody in the area wanting to do some training with their furry friend.

Since beginning classes in January 2025, my dog has done a complete 360! Not only is he learning, I am learning! Before starting, I cried daily thinking I was in over my head with a one year old, 100+ lb “puppy”. Little did I know, he (and I) needed consistency, structure, and confidence! Joe has so much knowledge and is always receptive to my questions/concerns! He and the staff truly do care and want the best for the dogs and their owners. We are moving through at the pace which is best for us…and I am completely confident that with Joe’s continued instruction, we will finish strong! In the meantime, we work, we train, and take in ALL the compliments from strangers about our good behavior!
Walking in circles. Over and over and over. Little input from the trainer, unless your dog is a German Shepherd. Switched to a new trainer, and both my dogs are having a great time, have greatly improved in obedience, and are working on agility. One year later, I am sure the people at Dog Class are still walking in circles. Ugh.
You can teach your dog as much as you want, depending on the effort you put in.
