Dog Basics PDX

Recently my girlfriend and I decided to get a puppy (Greg-American Bully). He’s a sweet boy, very smart, but also very stubborn as puppies are. We thought we could train him on our own, but quickly found out we were a little out of our element. We decided we needed some help. Luckily, we came across Timothy’s website and decided to give it a try to get Greg professionally trained. I’m still mind-blown after one lesson… Timothy came to our home and gave us clear, hands on instructions on how to train our puppy the right way. It was so simple and our puppy quickly caught on and the way he was behaving after 20 mins was seriously unreal. Timothy worked with us for an hour and gave us the tools to go forward with training our puppy on our own. You’re going to have to put in the work and be consistent , but with Timothy’s clear and simple training/instruction, you can see immediate results. Timothy came out to our house to do a session with our new adoptee dog. Timothy was incredibly professional, was able to scheduled quickly, and was super responsive. It was clear from the moment he walked in that Timothy knows A TON about dog behavior and could immediately (within minutes) provide a series of observations about what he was noticing and best ways to move forward. We will absolutely hire Timothy for more sessions-- it was money well spent!

We first heard about Timothy from a friend in the Rescue industry, that had a dog that wasn’t having success from other trainers. She raved about him and what he did for her dog that no one else was able to help with. We have had many dogs and also fostered. So we have knowledge about basic dog behaviors but this was for sure out of our league. We currently have five of our own dogs, one who was struggling with over excitement and aggression. Timothy came into our home and has made us have hope again for our sweet boy! He even offered to email our vet with what his finding were in our home. His immense knowledge and care for dogs shows!! We will forever be grateful and will never use anyone other than Dog Basics PDX. Thanks again Timothy!
