Fee-based services include summer camps for kids, pet dog training classes, train your own service dog classes for civilians, and therapy dog classes.
We provide PTSD and mobility service dogs for Texas veterans and first responders at no charge. We provide reading dogs in schools at no charge. Therapy dog visits also provided at the family court, colleges, and hospitals at no charge to the organization or participants.

Hi,
We do not train dogs for dementia. We have pilot project underway to train diabetes alert service dogs. We hope to offer this expertise in 2024.

We just adopted a 7 yo male boxer who apparently hasn't been civilized beyond being housebroken. I haven't trained a dog since we had a puppy 45 years ago and don't know where to start. Do you have regular basic classes for adult dogs?

They do. Call them and they will let you know what classes they have coming up.
Our community has made contributions via grants and individual gifts to support service dogs for veterans. Sadly, we have not yet found a founding source to provide service dogs for civilians. For civilians, we have priced our Train Your Own Service Dog as low as possible. We also have a crowd funding tool to help you raise funds for your training efforts. Do u charge for boarding and training on service dog if I have a dog to train already?

Do you have small dogs to carry with you, fit in a carrier to take everywhere you go, that can sleep with me, 4yrs old, lap dog.
We do not. All our current service dogs in training will be 50 pounds or larger as adults. Unfortunately, we have not researched small dog breeders. There are a few small dog rescue groups in town, but we have not researched them either. Sorry we can't be more helpful.

And not to take anything from your business, but do you know any breeders for smaller dogs, in general not associated with anyone?
I am 12 and I have been helping animals basically my whole life, I am also very responsible. I am three months from being 13, and I am very eager to start right away, would I be aloud to volunteer here?

Not happy with the training services that were provided for my daughters service dog. I spend a lot of money with training and the classes and private lessons were just not working with them so I tried another trainer and they could tell me after working with my dog only a couple times that my dog would not qualify for service work because of her temperament and reactivity. I wish Austin dog alliance would not have given us false hope and had us put thousands of dollars into this dog if she didn’t have a chance in working for my child.
Edit: my mother didn’t know how to write a review so she wrote it on my account, I will happily show her how to do it on hers so she can write one under her name. However, I (Ashley) am also very disappointed in the training provided, I didn’t personally pay for the majority of training because I was a minor but it was a service dog for my disabilities. Now that I am a trainer myself I understand a whole lot more about dogs and service dog training than I did when I went to you as a teenager a couple years ago. The behaviors my dog did in your classes should have made the trainer disqualify her as a service dog in training instantly instead of giving up false hope and recommending us to take unnecessary steps and classes.

Our instructor, Susan is amazing! She is so knowledgeable, friendly, and adapts and offers guidance based on your specific dogs breed, personality, and her observations! I have already recommended The Dog Alliance to several neighbors and would recommend it to anyone wanting to improve your pups manners and increase your own understanding and bond with your dog!
