Diverse Dog Training

Our young 80 pound pup, Will, has a very strong prey drive. Our son had worked with Cody for his two pups so we spent a week in Missoula for training. Cody is an excellent trainer. He usually spends several weeks working with folks but we only had a week and he was game. We appreciated his gradual approach, training us and assessing what Will needed. By the third day, Will was off leash at a large hilly area and under control. We have continued to use his techniques with Will and are very happy with his behavior. We highly recommend Cody.

Cody was great to work with and worth every penny. Our three year old bernedoodle needed help with barking, resource guarding, and what we thought was fearfulness (turns out it was more possessive behavior). Over three sessions we learned so much and have seen a HUGE difference in his behavior. He rarely barks anymore, is more friendly with company, and his confidence continues to grow. Cody was the best trainer! He taught me how to have my two young dogs off leash safely on the trails. I felt it was an impossible dream to achieve because my youngest pup has a VERY HIGH prey drive. But Cody worked with me and after a month and half, my two dogs were off leash and happy as can be. The e-collar is used humanely and respectfully. I practice everyday with my pups (we use the ez-educator collar.) Our trail runs are more fluid with every week that passes. I am able to keep my young dog from chasing deer, a miracle! This would not have been possible without Cody's help/patience and showing me it was possible!

We recently moved to Missoula and had some behavioral issues pop up with our three, young male dogs which we hadn’t experienced with any of our other dogs. Cody helped us identify what was at the root of the problem and gave us a clear plan to correct the behavior. And even caught some things we didn’t see which may have been a much bigger issue down the line between our pups. Cody gets dogs and we so appreciated his help so we could all feel more confident with our pack.
