Digman Canine Academy

We have a loving 5 year old labradoodle named Barkley. While we love his zest for life, we did not enjoy having him pull us down the street anytime we tried to walk him. He’s big and strong, and no harness would help. We’d even tried another trainer before with no luck. We had basically given up on walking him, and instead took him to Doggie Daycare twice a week for exercise. Then one day I noticed how nicely my neighbor’s dog walked on the leash. She told me that her dog had also been a terrible pulling dog too until she tried Digman. So we decided to call. Kelsey was our trainer and she’s the best! We connected right away. She figured Barkley out right away, and in 7 sessions, we now have a new dog! Our whole family is AMAZED at the difference! Now we can happily walk him every day. He has stopped barking at other dogs. Today he sat nicely by my side while I chatted with a friend. I can not recommend Digman Canine Academy enough! It’s not too late!

I, like most of you, found Digman Canine Academy from reviews and a Google search. I didn’t know many people in the area at the time since I had just moved from out of state. The amount of 5 star reviews this company has earned is legit. I have worked with both Claire and Kelsey, and they are equally amazing. I started with private lessons with Claire, but with COVID my hours became way too difficult to train a puppy. The private lessons were great! Both my dog and I learned a ton, but I personally lacked the time to do the homework. Claire was nice enough to adjust the pricing and switch to a Stay & Train. The dog I got back was not the dog I dropped off. Kelsey presented me with not only a happy pup, but a respectful well trained pup. With the help of pack walks, she has maintained those skills. Recently Lego had a fearful experience, so while she still had her skills, she needed assistance. Back to DCA she went. During her stay I had a family emergency which caused me to leave town unexpectedly. DCA went out of their way to assist me and make sure Lego was well cared for. I just recently got a second dog, and he was signed up for DCA training the day he was born. What started as a Google Search, has turned into a friendship and I couldn’t be happier. The bond you are able to share with a well trained dog, is stronger than you ever thought possible. That in itself is worth every dollar.

Claire helped us bring out the absolute best in our dog. She is very professional and fun to work with. The pack walks that she offers helped us to continue our training sessions even after our lessons were completed. Imagine taking your dog for a walk in the park or around your neighborhood and having people stop you to compliment you on how well behaved your dog is. That’s the dog that Claire helped us to raise!
