Digman Canine Academy

Highly recommend Digman Canine Academy to anyone in the area looking for dog training. My dog started struggling with anxiety and reactivity after we moved here from Philadelphia and Ethan worked with us and completely turned things around. He understands dog behavior and reactivity training, and built an approach specific to Waffles’ triggers. Within a relatively short time, Waffles was noticeably calmer on walks and at home around new stimuli. Ethan was also just wonderful to work with — patient, kind, and genuinely invested in Waffles’ progress the whole way through. If you’re dealing with a reactive or anxious dog, especially after a move or big change, this is the place to go. Professional, knowledgeable, and I now have the skills and tools to keep helping Waffles going forward. It’s made everyday walks and life at home so much more enjoyable.

I chose Digman and came all the way from Pittsburgh with my 18 month old Rottweiler Roxy. She was all puppy and somewhat aloof with some lazy tendencies when she started her 3 week board & train with Digman Canine and the amazingly talented trainers! Shadows stimulated her like a laser pointer and a cat, as well as ANY commercial with an animal in it on television!😳🤷🤦‍♀️ Fast forward to after she completed her training, and the transformation is incredible! Trainer Bill nicknamed her Shadow Dancer, but since Roxy's training, she can put that trigger in her history book. She is now able to focus on commands and listens intently as her focus is on me. At our Summer camp she is exposed to side by sides, golf carts and lots of other dogs and people. In training she learned to watch quietly and not react with a simple place command, which has made camp a very relaxing atmosphere for us and her. I received regular updates as her training progressed, which I looked forward to, after all, leaving her for 3 weeks was hard even though I knew she was in excellent hands and care! Ethan did an extensive exit lesson with us to demonstrate her new skills and packed my toolbox with tools for success when we got home. They are also was more than willing to support us any time we needed it with a phone call that you didn't need to press 1 to talk to a live person! We are 2 weeks out after finishing the Academy, and she is already walking off leash at a heel with an auto sit! If you are considering training for your dog, don't hesitate to consult with Digman Canine Academy, the results are everything you can expect and more! We had an amazing experience at Digman Canine Academy! I had tried training my dog Sadie on my own but wasn’t making any progress with her dog reactivity. We did private lessons with Kelsey where we made a lot of progress with reactivity and learned other skills like place and stay that are so practical for everyday life! We also did an advanced obedience class with Ethan and some retriever lessons with Bill! You can tell all of the trainers care about people and their dogs and are very knowledgeable about dog training!
