Diabetic Alert Dogs of America

We had are sons German Shephard (Pyper) trained by Diabetic Alert Dogs of America. They did an amazing job with her. All the trainers and personnel were very friendly and professional. They took great care of Pyper while she was there. We have had her back for about 9 months now. It was one of the best things we did to help our son with his diabetes. If you are wondering if it is worth it, it totally is. I am so glad that we went with Diabetic Alert Dogs of America. Great company to deal with. Thank you for everything DADA!

I've been working with my dog, Forest, for the last two and a half years. He was trained by the amazing team at DADA and has been a joy to work with. The process of selecting a dog to enter into a training program as dedicated as theirs - requires a great deal of understanding and patience. With the amount of dogs trained by Ed and his team, there is no denying they've mastered this process. Typically, when I discuss cost and process with potential Diabetic Alert Dog customers, I explain that the process of finding the right dogs is their bread and butter. They know how to pick the dogs, match them with the best trainer they have available, and then help that dog absorb it's new job responsibilities. My dog and I have essentially been together everyday for the last two and a half years, minus the time he's gone back to their beautiful main offices in Las Vegas. During this time, he's always challenged in the same way we are during the day - with random scent tests and scent games. This is something that I had never considered, but it's a massive addition to having such an intelligent dog. In short, you're not going to leave your working dog at a regular kennel - they will treat him like a regular dog. The ability to schedule re-training and boarding for Forest makes Diabetic Alert Dogs one of the best decisions I've ever made.
