I've had a great experience with Diabetic Alert Dogs of America. From day one, their team has been supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They matched me with Sugar who is an incredible service dog who has completely changed my life. I’m beyond grateful for the life saving support this organization has provided. Sugar isn’t just my service dog, she's my safety net, and my best friend. They made it clear from the start that success takes commitment, consistency, and teamwork. They were absolutely right, we have learned each other and how we work together as a team. When you put in the work, follow the training, and build trust, the outcome is nothing short of amazing. She is frequently faster than my CGM and catches things before I feel something is wrong, which prevents me from missing out on school and my hobbies. My parents feel better knowing she's with me and ready to alert in any situation, even the moving car. Sugar has made all of us comfortable with me being away at college. The bond I’ve developed with her is very special, she always helps me have a good day even when life is hard. Thank you to everyone at Diabetic Alert Dogs of America for giving me not just a service dog, but a new sense of independence and confidence. You’ve truly changed my life!

Please don't waste your money for dog training from Diabetic Alert Dogs of America. I donated a large amount of money to a family so that they could get a diabetic alert service dog for their child. As I have seen from the reviews of other customers, I can honestly say the same thing has happened to this family and it is true... as a few people have noted...the dog they received is a very expensive untrained pet. I'm not sorry I donated to this sweet family's need, I am only sorry that Diabetic Alert Dogs of America took from them over fifteen thousand dollars and left them with nothing but a disobedient dog with an anxiety disorder and about a year stress in an already stressful situation of caring for a child with a disability.

My sweet toddler niece with type 1 diabetes has experienced material harm at the hands of this company. It is a scam and you cannot trust them. The dog was not even trained to the standard of typical dog training let alone a specialized medical alert dog. It has been heartbreaking to see the emotional and financial harm my family has gone through, on top of physical harm caused by false alerts. Again, do not trust this company.

The whole process and experience of working with Diabetic Alert Dogs of America has been positive. My dog has changed my life. Their team is supportive, professional, and informative. I have been nothing but pleased. My dog came to me well trained, and ready to go. We have been back for tune-up training after 6 months and the experience was just as positive. They truly love and care for their dogs, and it shows! I couldn't possibly say enough good things about DAD of America!
