Dewayne The Dog Guy

My doodle Jovi is now 4 years old. When he was a puppy about 6 months old we left him in Dewayne’s care for a little under two weeks for extensive training. The absolute best thing we ever did not only for him but for our family including our three children. He was trained with the E-collar and once we got him back we continued to see Dewayne for follow up visits when necessary. Now when we take him in public everyone comments on his good behavior. He is such a joy and we couldn’t have gotten him to this point without Dewayne. Jovi listens on command not only to my husband but me and the kids as well. Even his groomer and boarder always comment on how amazing he behaves with other dogs. It is an expensive investment, but the way we see it, it pays for itself for many years to come.

Dewayne is the absolute BEST! We have 2 dogs that worked with him for different reasons. One was our older lab, Jackson, who just never had any proper on-leash or off-leash training. Within just a couple weeks of working with Dewayne, Jax was heeling off and on leash, coming when called, placing on his bed to settle down, etc. It was amazing how quickly Jax learned from Dewayne! We also have a rescue dog, Rosco, who had some major issues with fear aggression (growling, lunging, snarling, guarding food, etc). We contacted multiple trainers in the area who said they would not be able to help us with his issues, which left us feeling helpless and terrified, not knowing what to do...but then we found Dewayne. Dewayne listened to us and was eager to help. He is extremely patient and knowledgeable with what each individual dog needs. Dewayne was able to muzzle train Rosco, so now he can comfortably and confidently go out on walks around strangers and go to the vet more easily. Dewayne also helped us crate train Rosco, as well as doing typical on-leash and off-leash training with him--and with us, because we had a lot to learn too! Even after our training program was over, Dewayne continued to help us with any issue that arose, and continues to be an awesome support system even after he moved away from our area. Both our dogs are happier and more confident after training with Dewayne...especially Rosco-- It's like a night/day difference with him, and all for the better. I have only great things to say about Dewayne, and he is the one I recommend to anyone looking for a dog trainer. Whether it's a complicated aggressive dog issue like we faced or just some proper off/on leash training, Dewayne is the guy! He goes above and beyond and has your back the throughout the entire process.
