Devotion to Dogs

Both of our dogs have done the board and train program at Devotion to Dogs. Ben is a highly knowledgeable trainer and the program made a big difference in our dogs. They have fear aggression and previously couldn't be around people or other dogs. Within the second week of board and train, we were walking them around public places. Ben, Dustin, Taylor, Alyssa, and the team all made sure that we were given clear instructions as owners to continue this training at home. We were also given daily updates and photos of their progress. Highly recommend Devotion to Dogs!

Ben helped us immensely with our 1 year old male Rottweiler. I previously owned a Rottie for 13 yrs, but 14 years passed before we got another pup, I was rusty in skills to say the least! . My new pup had such a high drive for just the tiniest thing that he could literally pull me off my feet while on a leash and using a flat collar(my dog actually gave me a concussion)! This type of drive was completely new for me because my last Rottweiler was just a big old' 'hump on a log' LOL .... Anyhow after missing a week of work due to concussion dizziness and nausea, it was time to get help. I sourced MANY, MANY resources before choosing Ben / DTD - I literally put a poll on the Nextdoor app and 80 percent of votes suggested Ben! THE REVIEWS DO NOT LIE! He is the best! He will tailor a training plan to exactly what you need and listens very carefully to his clients. He also is awesome with follow care and answering all your questions. I have to say that every single person we have dealt with at DTD has been very knowledgeable and they all have a huge passion for the work - these employees are happy to be there!!!! We now have a wonderful dog that is a joy to be around and can be included in all family outings , vacations, etc. I can hike with my boy leash free with only his e collar and trust him 100 percent. He is gentle with my children and no longer tries to eat and chew their toys. My boy also no longer pulls on walks and REALLY LISTENS TO ME when directed. I know that for the rest of my life I will always own the Rottweiler breed of dog and Ben will ALWAYS be my 'go to' for dog training. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We took our 7 mo labradoodle puppy here for a 2-week board and train mainly to help with her extreme separation anxiety (covid puppy). At the point we decided to invest in training we were not able to leave her alone without her being in complete distress the entire time and hurting herself trying to get out of her kennel. And when we were home she was glued to me, wouldn't eat unless we stood next to her bowl the entire time and always nervous someone might be leaving. All of my attempts to get in front of her anxiety did not work. It's been 4-weeks since she's been home and she is a completely different puppy. The anxiety piece is completely behind us. She seems much happier, comfortable to sniff around and do her own thing, extremely well trained (come, stay, place, sit, down, etc.), great around other people (no more jumping), we can walk her off-leash with no issues and she is happy to go into her kennel and nap for multiple hours if we leave. We are so pleased with the outcome and happy with the investment we made in our pup. She's a happier dog that fits in much better to our family and lifestyle. Also the team at Devotion to Dogs is GREAT! Taylor did most of our pups training. She was excellent. When she came by for a follow-up meeting our dog was as excited to be reunited with Taylor as she was with us! Quite clearly a testament to her time away at camp. :)
