Desert Sage Agility

I have taken classes from Annette at Desert Sage Agility with my dogs for the last 4 years, including puppy classes, rally obedience, and agility. Annette is an excellent teacher, uses 100% positive training techniques, very knowledgeable about how to help dogs and their people learn, and works with you at whatever level you and your dog need. The training space at Desert Sage Agility is top notch. It is large and very well supplied with all the agility equipment as well as many other training aids for teaching foundation skills. Highly recommend!

Agility at Desert Sage is fun and educational in a supportive environment where building teamwork with your dog is the priority!! Annette's background in animal behavior has taught me to understand that how I ask for a skill can either help or hinder my dog in performing. We love doing all the obstacles, and with Annette's help, we've learned to string them together into a full sequence. I highly recommend her classes! Even if you and your dog do not pursue agility, you will take away better communication skills that your dog will appreciate!

Agility is a game for all breeds and all owners, positive reinforcement will build a language between dogs and their owners where everyone has fun! Annette is a great teacher, possessing the ability to see both the dog and owner and then can clearly explain why the dog did what they did. The classes are fun, light-hearted and deepen the human/dog connection! When your dog gets excited to arrive at the arena, you know they are happy to play the agility game WITH you!

I have been doing agility for several years in the Bay Area and when we moved to Central Oregon I wanted to continue and found Desert Sage Agility. I have to say this has been the most positive and professional experience for me. Annette tailors her instruction to the individual dog’s learning ability and the handler’s ability and knowledge. She teaches the most up to date techniques and makes it so much fun for dog and handler. I have had several different instructors in California, but I’ve never enjoyed it more than with Annette. Whatever your goals are in dog sports, she will help you accomplish them and feel good about your progress. She has been a wonderful resource to keep your dog healthy and fit as well. If you have a dog that needs a job or just want to do something fun with your dog, I would recommend Desert Sage Agility in a heartbeat and I have when I’m asked about my dogs!
