Our goal is to give you the skills to teach your dogs anything! We are so happy that you were able to take away a lot from our classes that you can not only apply to this dog but future dogs as well!

Unfortunately, we did not receive the notification for this review so I apologize for the delayed reply, but we are very sorry to hear about your experience and if you had stated your concerns earlier I'm sure we could have clarified some things and remedied the situation. I have gone through our report cards and our records of your pick up and drop offs and it seems the majority of the time you picked up during class hours, which means that our handlers and trainers were also assisting or teaching a class when returning your dogs to you, and I distinctly remember telling you how great Copernicus was doing while I worked him in class more than once. Regardless, we apologize for the distractions during pick up, but since we are a smaller facility our resources are limited. I did take the liberty of going back through your report cards to make sure that the daycare staff have been filling them out properly and found that they did briefly go over all of the things both of your puppies had worked on during and always said more than "we worked on the basics". "For training today we worked on a few things! We worked on politely going through doors, continued leash walking work and then we introduced stays, both with a cue word and implied. It took some practice but his stays are improving. We also introduced recall today, which is still in the beginning stages but will improve with practice!" -- Is an excerpt from one of your dog's daycare report cards and it should have been made clear that everything that they had learned would be taught to you during the private sessions that were included in the package you purchased, but we will make sure that is reiterated more clearly in the future. As far as kennel cough, we are very transparent about the possibility of transmission between dogs, as stated in our contract, especially since symptoms do not show for several days. Everyone was contacted immediately after we had confirmed the outbreak and we closed our center to disinfect and make sure all dogs that had come to daycare were past the incubation period and not showing symptoms. Kennel cough is much like the flu, so there are various strains and regardless if we require the vaccine it will not cover all strains as I am sure you have now learned. This outbreak spread to our own dogs, and as I also work at a vet's office part time we are very familiar with the spread and treatment. Kennel cough is rarely severe and as a viral infection typically goes away on it's own.
