DareDevil Dog Training

We're so pleased with the knowledgeable and talented staff of DareDevil Dog Training. Our 1 year old Maisie was in so much need of boundaries and manners! We actually came to DareDevil after having to make the difficult decision not to bring Maisie on our family vacation because it was getting so bad at home in the evenings and on walks at night that we knew her behavior and lack of boundaries would actually impair our ability to relax and have a good time. After months of working in group classes, with multiple private trainers and practicing over and over again at home, Maisie was just continuing to beat to her own drum and not listen or adhere to the skills we were learning when in our own home. After the 21-day program with trainers Jess and Alyssa, Maisie has a new respect for us as her handlers and she even looks to us for direction before going on impulse and making a bad choice. She's not perfect yet, but that's all part of her spirited personality and energy and with consistency at home, we think we'll get her 95% there! We look forward to continuing to work with Alyssa in our follow up sessions to make sure to proof her skills at home and make them permanent or to add more modifications if needed. We highly recommend DareDevil to anyone who has a doggie needing some re-direction, knowing their place in the pecking order or in need of behavior modification. They do all their skills training in their homes with lots of love and support and introduce them to multiple trainers and spouses so that the dogs can take direction from more than one person. We are so glad we took the plunge, and Maisie is a better dog already!

We had a fantastic experience with Alyssa and DareDevil dog training! My dog was very anxious and having issues with barking and leash reactivity. She went for a boarding program and came back with many new skills and so much more confidence! I love that the programs also included many updates during training, a halfway lesson to check on skills in my home, and follow up lessons to reinforce the skills. Words cannot describe how grateful we are to have found DareDevil Dog Training and their trainers! We were extremely overwhelmed when we adopted our dog and realized how reactive he was. We couldn't even take him on a walk outside. We first tried working with a different trainer (not part of DareDevil training) and our dog would growl and bark the whole session. At that point, we were afraid we would have to re-home him because we did not know what to do. It was at that time that a friend recommended DareDevil Dog Training. We had the first meeting with Alyssa and felt so supported and appreciated her honesty about what the road ahead would look like as first-time dog owners with an anxious and reactive dog. Our dog Winston, did the 3 week program with Jess and came back with so much confidence and a foundation for us to build on. Since completing the program, the support from Jess has been invaluable as well. She is so kind and patient and is helping us learn the best way to care for our dog and work through his anxiety. It's a judgment free zone working with her and we really have appreciated that. We also have had our dog stay overnight with Jess and Sami. They loved and cared for our dog like he was their own and we were so relaxed knowing that Winston was in good hands. The trainers at DareDevil Dog training have a special gift with not just the dogs but working with the owners as well. I could go on-and-on about how wonderful Jess, Sami and Alyssa are. I could not recommend them enough!

We were referred to DareDevil by our neighbors, who had just finished training with their dog. After our initial zoom session with Alyssa, we immediately knew this is what our dog needed. Sami met with us for a meet and greet. She further explained the process and answered any questions we had. My husband and I could tell Sami is a "dog whisperer." She was so intune to our dog's personality and responses. It was truly amazing While our dog was with Sami, we received videos, emails and pictures frequently, which really reinforced to us that our dog was learning, well taken care of, and in awesome hands. Max came home happy and full of new behaviors to show us! We are thrilled with his progress. We absolutely recommend DareDevil!

My dog, Donut, is a really clever girl, but not very socially savvy with other dogs. Over the summer I had reached out to Alyssa for help to get Donut to place where she could keep her cool and tolerate the presence of other dogs in social settings. Honestly, it seemed like an impossible feat at the time. When I saw Donut being neutral and relaxed during a dog social with multiple pups walking around I was truly floored. Since her board and train, Donut has been able to have very successful one on one play dates with other dogs! It also made introducing her to her new sibling, Riggins, a breeze. While Riggins and Donut have been living together seamlessly, Rig started showing some nervousness/fearfulness of city happenings. I knew I had to contact Alyssa before his behavior got worse. We had our session just 2 days ago and I’m already seeing improvements. I know he is well on his way to being a well rounded dog! Alyssa’s help is absolutely priceless. My dogs will live much more fulfilled lives because of her guidance. Can’t recommend Daredevil enough!
