Tom is an excellent trainer. I was always someone who was afraid of balanced methods, but Tom showed my dog a kindness that made my dog CHOOSE to respect him! He is so compassionate with every dog, small to large. When Karma came home, it was like he was a completely different dog. He originally would play too rough with the smaller dogs at the house, now he can sit right next to them like it’s nothing! He was also very reactive in public and to cats. When he came back, the reactivity was reduced dramatically. Tom is a balanced trainer, meaning he does utilize an e collar and a slip lead. He is also happy to accommodate if you are not comfortable with an e collar, however I recommend letting him work his magic. His training facility is a large beautiful area, great for your active dog to get plenty enrichment. There are goats on the property to help socialize dogs to other animals. He also offers affordable overnight boarding for those of us who will be out of town or just need a night off. I highly recommend Tom. Please, if you are on the fence about hiring a trainer or your dog is getting to be more than you can handle, JUST DO IT! Not only is the B&T a great resource, he offers training advice for the entire lifetime of your dog per his training guarantee. He is the only non family member I will ever trust to board my dog!
