Dakota Gold Kennels

I have gotten two dogs from Dakota Gold. The first being Sunny x Toby, and second Nala x Colt. The first puppy was ehen I was local. They let me visit several times during the process and let me meet the parents before I dedicated to a litter (I was never big on goldens previously). To date the Sunny x Toby pup has flushed and retrieved several hundred birds in three years starting at under 5 months old, including pheasant, sharptail grouse, ruffed grouse, Hungarian partridge, geese, ducks, woodcock, and gambles quail. He is especially good at pheasant and will bust cattails all day and hold close on birds. With the last puppy, Carter was happy to meet me in Fargo on my drive from Arizona to Wisconsin to help cut my drive short, despite weather conditions locally. It's yet to be seen how this dog turns out, but in both experiences they paired me with the pup that they felt would best suit my needs, and I'm hoping for a 100+ bird season this fall for the new one at under a year old!

I have never seen a puppy more ready for the home! 7 weeks old and she is thriving, thanks to the hard work of Carter, Tina, and their kids. They selected the perfect fit for our family. Pup was on the right track for potty training, retrieving, and well acclimated to any situation. Crate training has been a breeze. Their Golden's are some of the sweetest and smartest dogs around. We are extremely happy with our choice to go with Dakota Gold!
