Customized K-9

We enjoy taking our dogs to Anthony Rosa for their training. Anthony has taught them and us so much on their obedience. We have never had any negative issues with Anthony. He is professional but friendly. I believe he is a "dog whisperer". I have not seen any that do not immediately listen and react with great attention when he stands near them. Anthony is at the training office most all day and late into the evening. He is there to train our dogs and us. I would recommend Anthony and Customized K-9 to anyone looking to take their dog's to training. He is a GREAT trainer and we will continue to take our dogs to him. When we are there we see the dogs in boarding taken for walks and exercised. I do not understand the negative comments below. I do know you get out of training what you are willing to put into it. There are group classes on Saturday morning and Monday night, please come and watch Anthony Rosa work. You too will want to have your dog trained by Anthony!

I first discovered Customized K-9 when our neighbor brought their dog there for training. I was impressed how well trained their dog was so I signed up for the board and train when we got our dog. We got our dog Lucy from the animal shelter in September, 2013. The day after we got her, we entered her in the board and train program at Customized K-9. Anthony did an great job with Lucy in the three weeks he had her. When we got her back, she was able to do all the basic commands: sit, stay, down, come and a little bit of heel. After the boarding, we attended the weekly training classes, and continue to attend them to this day. It is now been 1 1/2 years with Anthony, and our dog is absolutely amazing. She walks off leash and is very obedient. We are always complimented by friends, neighbors and strangers on how well behaved Lucy is. Lucy is also a star at our local Lowes store in Lake Wylie. All the workers there know her by name. We couldn't be happier. We even took it to the next level and Lucy became a therapy dog. She visits hospitals and nursing homes every Saturday and I can honestly say this would not have happened if it wasn't for the foundation that Anthony and Customized K-9 laid for Lucy. I can also tell you that Lucy loves Anthony. We have trained Lucy to sit and stay and she's very good at it. Others have tried to entice her to come and she would remain in the stay position. The only one that can make her come, when she's in the stay position is Anthony. She loves him!! Would I recommend Customized K-9 to others? You bet I would. Do I think it was worth the money to have Lucy trained by Customized K-9? That would be a resounding YES!

I must say im quite disappointed to see the negative reviews below. I have been working with Anthony at Customized K9 for 7 months now & have done numerous group classes. I have not seen any of the meanness described below but i know that theres going to be varying opinions on training methods. when i have, time & time again, seen SO MANY positive outcomes & have made great progress with my own dog, i can only say that Anthony's methods are effective in accomplishing the tasks that he's striving for. He probably comes off tough & harsh but he has been doing this for so many years & has successfully trained MANY police dogs, protection dogs, etc. Opinions regarding the training of Anthony's other dogs should not be projected out onto anything else because however HE decided to do, or did the Training with his dog, Angus, really has nothing to do with how he trains OUR dogs as clients. Since Angus is being brought up i will say that there are videos of Angus's training on customized k9's main website & clearly Anthony is playing a very active role in the dog's training. Just sayin'. It's not right or fair to poorly & publicly judge ALL of someone's business if only a few incidents are in question. Anthony Rosa is a GOOD trainer & his great number of success stories far outweighs any negative opinions regarding his methods.
