Custom-K9 Bay Area Dog Training & Boarding

Our 3 month old rescue puppy, Gator , is a high energy dog who had gone through a degree of trauma coming from being in a kill shelter. He had absolutely no training, socialization, nor had he been outside of a crate very often. He was enrolled in Custom K9's Puppy Training six weeks ago working with Jeff & Beckie and his progress has been nothing less than remarkable. They are kind, caring, professional, and knowledgeable, and treat our pup like family, In addition, they have kept us apprised of his progress every step of the way including videos, pictures, and verbal reports when he's picked up at the end of the day. They have taught us training techniques to use on off days which has been very helpful in maintaining continuity. Our puppy is now able to socialize with other dogs successfully with no issues, walk off-leash in controlled settings, and has shown the potential to be a great citizen and family pet. Custom K-9 has a been caring for my two pups for over a year. We started with training at the facility along with structured daycare and private training. Both dogs a have benefited from the trainings and daycare. They are both high energy and have learned self control and now follow commands. They are better on leash and better with guest when they come to the house (less jumping and crazy puppy behavior) I also board the dogs when I travel and they come home happy ! I highly recommend Jeff.

I can’t say enough good things about Custom K9. I’m very particular about who I trust with my dogs, and after trying several other trainers and boarding facilities that weren’t the right fit, I was pretty hesitant. I also had a bad experience at a different place (not here) that made me much more cautious about safety and communication. A friend recommended Custom K9, and from the start they were professional, responsive, and clearly attentive to the dogs in their care. After dogs’ my first stay, I had a small concern and reached out. They handled it quickly, professionally, and with real accountability. That response gave me a lot of confidence in them. Since then, they’ve been consistently reliable and great to work with. I feel comfortable leaving my dogs with them, which says a lot. If this review is still up, it means I’m still very happy with them. Highly recommend.
