Custom-K9 Bay Area Dog Training & Boarding

I would just like to share my experience with the group at Custom-K9 I started taking my dog Pepper there back in April of 2026 he was very much the puppy - jumping on people, nipping at your hands, and just being an out of control puppy. After the first few sessions with the trainer Jeff, Pepper showed immediate improvement, he stopped jumping and was able to do simple commands sit, stay, and come. When I felt like he wasn't progressing like I thought he should Beckie would take the time to talk to us and explain the things they were doing and let me know that everything would work out. Jeff even takes time to come to your house and work with you and your family on commands so you get comfortable working with your dog. Well it's been over two months now and Pepper is the dog I have always wanted him to be, Pepper is much happier now and so is the rest of my family! If you want a well trained dog and a group of solid people I would highly recommend Beckie and Jeff at Custom-K9!

We can't recommend Custom-K9 enough! When we first brought Pepper to Custom-K9, he was a rescue puppy who struggled with socialization around other dogs and had a hard time focusing during training. From our initial consultation, we were impressed by how quickly Jeff connected with him. Within just a week, we noticed a significant difference in Pepper's confidence, focus, and overall behavior. Jeff did an amazing job tailoring the training to Pepper's individual needs, and Beckie was incredible throughout the process, always communicative, quick to respond, and regularly sending photos and videos of Pepper's day! What really sets Custom-K9 apart is how much they genuinely care. Every dog is treated like their own, and it's clear they're invested in helping both dogs and their owners succeed. Pepper always comes home happy and ready for a good nap after a day of training and fun, and I love knowing he's in a safe environment where he's not only learning but genuinely enjoying himself. We're so grateful for everything they've done for Pepper and can't recommend them enough!

We love our rescue dog Posey, but we can't take her in public due to the fact that she has so much anxiety. It's really too bad because she's a loving dog at home but she does go crazy around other dogs and other people. So we reached out to Custom K9 for some real-life training to help her deal with this issue. Jeff and his dogs came to our house and did a great job of just working with Posey, being patient with her, not only training her but training us on how to give her confidence and help her be a good dog. Most of the time it's not even Posey's fault but ours for not training her correctly and giving her the attention that's necessary to help her. Jeff was able to show us what we should be doing. Posey is a work in progress. We have taken her out to parks where she can play fetch and be obedient and we can do this with so much more confidence after the training. Highly recommend Custom-K9. They came out to our house, really helped us out, great price, and we'll have them over again.
