Curated Canines Dog Training

We needed help with our 1.5 year old rescue pup, Max, who was showing some resource guarding and reactivity towards our other dog. After 4 weeks doing a Board & Train program, he came back a much more confident and calm dog. We followed up with training sessions with Kylah and we couldn’t believe the improvement. Now, we can take Max in public spaces and not worry about him reacting to other dogs, we aren’t worried about him going after our other dog, and we feel so relieved! Kylah is amazing and we are so grateful!

We couldn’t be happier with Curated Canines and Kylah. We have a 2 year old cattle dog that has some reactivity and we decided to do a week of board and train. It was mostly for a more “fine tuning”. Kylah explained what we can expect from the boarding and send us updates. After Jessie returned home she gave us a follow up lesson on how to go forward. They truly care about the dogs and their relationship with the owner.

I started working with Kylah at Curated Canines in August. I was struggling with my dog's reactivity and didn't feel like I could get through to him on walks. He would try to chase birds and squirrels, and bark every time he saw another dog. Mars came back from his two week boot camp completely transformed. He was walking nicely on a leash, able to heel consistently, and had shown great strides in his reactivity, as well as being better able to stay calm around the house. What I particularly like about the board and train option is that the dogs stay in the house with the trainers, and they only take in a small number of dogs at a time. I didn't want Mars to feel like he was going back to a shelter, and the environment seemed perfect for him. Kylah clearly cares about the dogs a lot, and Mars is always excited to see her! She is also always happy to answer any questions I might have about training via text message. With regards to the training style, they do follow balanced training methods which is great for those dogs who aren't responding well to the latest positive only trends. I have continued to work with Kylah and see improvements in Mars. We even did a field trip to a Petco which I thought would be forever beyond him! He'll be going back for another week in December and I trust them to take great care of him, as well as help him improve even more!
