Do you do therapy dog tests or training here?
At this time (April 2017), we do not offer therapy dog testing. However, we do offer AKC Canine Good Citizen testing which is a prerequisite for some therapy dog tests, and some of our group class students have gone on to pass the therapy dog test. We can help you train your dog toward this goal.

Dottie, my foxhound mix has very big feelings. I can't thank Crossbones and the caring trainers enough for the help that we have received. I am not sure I would have been able to keep her without their help. Although we are continuing to train, she has made so much progress. Before Crossbones, each trainer we worked with actually made things worse. All of the advice I have gotten from Crossbones has been helpful.
When we started, she spent every session howling. We did the 8 week total training program which was an excellent foundation. Although it is an expensive program, it comes with a lifetime of continued training for the dog. The number of classes we have attended since the class have made it such a good value. It's the best thing we could have done. Crossbones is now a happy place for Dottie where she can learn and have fun. I love that the classes can be adapted for her progress so there is always something new that we can build on. Huge shout out to PJ who has been a lifesaver for us!

My puppy absolutely loves going there, and I’ve seen such a huge improvement in behavior, confidence, and overall obedience. They take the time to understand each dog’s personality and tailor their approach, which really makes a difference. I also appreciate how clearly they communicate with me—offering helpful tips and guidance that I can continue using at home.
It’s obvious that they’re passionate about what they do, and it shows in the way they treat every dog like their own. I feel completely at ease knowing my puppy is in such good hands. I was so happy with the experience that I extended his training for an additional three months. If you’re looking for a place that is trustworthy, professional, and truly dedicated to helping your puppy thrive, I highly recommend Crossbones Dog Academy.

My dog Beanie joined at 3 months old. I can confidently say Crossbones Academy has made a huge difference in his crate training, potty training, socialization and loose leash walking through their comprehensive puppy daycare program. While more pricey compared to other daycares, Crossbones is definitely worth the money for the time and attention they pay to your pup.
