Canine Good Citizen preparationProgram details
This four class package Program teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners. The 10-step CGC test is a non-competitive test for all dogs, including purebreds and mixed breeds. It is a prerequisite for many therapy dog groups and some homeowner’s insurance companies and apartment complexes over discounts on pet rent if you have this certification. This class includes a free test and certification through the American Kennel Club!

This four class package provides an opportunity for your dog to socialize with other dogs. In classes aimed at earning the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy distinction, you’ll be able to get information on all of your puppy-raising questions including house training, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills such as coming when called. This is a 2-week board and train program designed to help dogs that have trouble with obedience, impulse control, and reactivity. We use training sessions, activity logs, as well as fitness and sleep trackers to make sure they are well rested and well exercised! By the end of two weeks, you will go home with a well-behaved dog, a training log of their improvements, and a plan for their future! In this program we work on the following: loose leash walking, sit, down, recall, impulse control, jumping, counter-surfing, mouthing, nipping, and more!
This is a 3-week board and train program designed to help dogs that have trouble with aggression, social issues, and reactivity. Similar to our 2-week program, your dog will have daily training sessions, activity logs, as well as fitness and sleep trackers in order to monitor progress and make sure they are well rested and well exercised! The main difference for our 3-week program is that it gives us an extra week to help get to the root of the issues with aggression and social disorders. This time allows the dog to get comfortable in its new environment so that we can identify what is causing the unwanted behaviors. In this program we work on the following: aggression, food and/or resource guarding, separation anxiety, severe fear issues, reactivity on-leash, and everything else listed in our 14-day program!

AKC Community CanineProgram details
This four class package is the next step for your dog after AKC Urban Canine. To earn the CGCA title, the dog must be registered or listed with AKC and have a Canine Good Citizen title on record. In AKC Community Canine, dogs can earn the CGCA (Advanced CGC) title. The goal of AKC Community Canine is to test the dog’s skills in a natural setting. For example, rather than the dog being tested in a ring, in AKC Community Canine, the “walks through a crowd” test item will involve the dog walking through a real crowd at a dog show, on a busy sidewalk, at a training club or in a local park. This class includes a free test and certification through the American Kennel Club!
AKC Urban CanineProgram details
This four class package is the next step for your dog after Canine Good Citizen Class. AKC Urban Canine requires that the dog demonstrates CGC skills and beyond in an urban setting. As with Canine Good Citizen, AKC Urban Canine has a 10-step test of skills that dogs must pass to earn the official AKC Urban CGC title. This class includes a free test and certification through the American Kennel Club!

We Rescued a pup from Mexico and at 5 months he started to become fearful and slightly aggressive to unknown people especially men. And did not get along with other pups. I saw Crafty Canine highly recommended on someone’s post on Facebook. We were desperate yet money is a huge issue. But we love our Badgley so we saved and had our free assentment. Wow Don is amazing he made us feel so comfortable and was so loving in the way he spoke with us. We put Badgley in the next day for the 3 day 2 night stay. Immediately we received video after video and my worries started to fade. By our 3rd Video to my surprise Badgley was out with at least 6 to 7 dogs. He was playing running wagging tail. I know this is long , I’m just so overwhelmed with happiness and no longer feel we need to rehome him. And his prices are incredible. We are so blessed to have Don and his amazing staff work with our boy. Badgley will for sure be going often and we will continue to learn with Dons guidance. I so so so recommended Crafty Canine it’s a paradise for furbabies.

Don is absolutely amazing! We had our two Frenchies stay with him originally for two night and they loved it. He sent us pictures and videos throughout their stay. We had to keep them an extra night due to travel delays and he did not hesitate to help out. We will define be coming back later this month and in the future.

I have been boarding and training my dog with Don and Crafty Canine for over a year now and I highly recommend them. Our 7 year old GSP loves it there; the photo of her is literally from one her stays. Here's what you should to know about them:
- They are an extremely rare group of professional dog handlers/trainers who are laser focused on taking care of your dog.
- Don, who is the owner, is very personable and hands-on. He has an incredible understanding of canine psychology and training as well as how to work with the owners. This is the key differentiator for me as 99% of other companies in this space are "boarding facilities" that lack the level of experience and attention to detail that Don and his team have.
- The CCC team is incredibly responsive; we receive a lot of photos, videos, and status updates throughout our dog's stay.
- The property is well maintained and the kennel area is very clean.
- There's a good mix of different sized breeds. The dogs have a lot of room to run and interact or just chill.

Don and his team at Crafty Canine are truly amazing. We have taken our 10 month old Great Pyrenees, Leo, to Crafty Canine Club for boarding and training four times now. As over protective dog parents we hate having to leave our baby but we always have no doubt he is in good hands every time! They send us frequent updates and pictures and the dogs get ample outdoor and play time! I would highly recommend Crafty Canine Club to anyone that is in need of training or boarding for their dog. They are all amazing!
