CR Shepherds

CR Kennels and Shana are fantastic! I started looking for a new best friend, about six months ago. I searched the internet for Breeder / Trainers in my area. Finding several I started my due diligence. A few were too busy to return calls. A few were too busy to answer questions , and some where too busy for a visit, other than to sell the dog. I also checked with bureau of consumer affairs and Better Business Bureau for complaints. CR Shepherds stood out from the rest. On my wife and my first visit we were greeted warmly. Seat at a patio table Shana took the time to listen to our desires and answered every question directly and patiently no matter how many we had. She than brought out several dogs of varying ages and levels of training. She made sure to go into the pluses and minuses of the breed, ages and training giving us an honest expectation of what to expect. We also got a chance to see the kennels which were clean, and not overly crowded, a sure sign of a caring breeder. At the end we placed a deposit on an up coming litter with add on training. We were told to come back whenever we wanted to and encouraged visit during the puppy’s training . If you are looking for a breeder, who is a notch above, who care about her dogs and offers great instruction, and training, I can’t say enough good things about Shana , her dogs and Kennel. It well worth the trip.

AMAZING trainers! Moses, my 110# german Shepherd just completed a 4 week training program at CR Shepherds and I could not be more pleased. Firstly, Moses lacked confidence around other dogs and some people. He pulled at his leash with walking, rushed the door, barked at most dogs and hard a hard time calming himself when he was excited. Not any more. WOW did these professionals teach and reinforce valuable tools and skills to become a more well balanced dog, both at home and in public. Moses has a new found confidence. He learned his place in the pack by training with CR shepherd pack. He gained new behavioral skills with Shana and Sara, and improved on those that he struggled with previously. I am so amazed at his growth in just 4 weeks of training. I cannot thank these trainers enough. Moses is happy in his own skin now. He can handle walking at the park with multiple distractions, including encountering strange dogs and people. He sits calmly when told. He does not rush the door. He calms himself with cues. I will be using CR shepherds for future training and HIGHLY recommend their incredible training programs. A+ training on all levels. Thank you CR shepherds, you are simply amazing trainers!

I would happily give CR Shepherds 10 stars! Shana and her daughter, Sarah helped us get the perfect puppy for us. They are always there to answer our questions and training help. Their pups are healthy, intelligent with beautiful colors. They won't let the pups just go to anyone. She is a true professional and cares about every dog and pup that comes from her facility. They also offer on-site boarding and training. Give them a call, be patient since they are training, cleaning or working with all the dogs. You will be happy that you did! I sure am!!

I HIGHLY recommend CR Shepherds. I took my 1 year old GSD Kobe to CR Shepherds in the end of June 2020 for overnight training (I did not purchase Kobe from them, but I wish I would have). Kobe had severe anxiety and fearfulness which was leading to really bad aggression, and becoming a huge liability. Taking him in public and meeting new people and other dogs was unmanageable. Kobe spent 6 weeks with CR Shepherds and I am incredibly impressed with his progress, even after just a week I saw such huge strides! Every week when I went to visit I could tell how much he was growing with the work they were doing with him. He now responds to corrections, looks for permission, and can now be out in public without being kicked out before we even get across the parking lot. They are very down to earth people that care so much about your dog and you! I am so grateful for all the training and tips they taught me every time I visited, and I feel more confident as an owner to handle and continue to train my dog. They even went the extra mile to take my dog to get neutered on his last day there - I picked up a well behaved, fixed dog! If I could give 6 stars I would. Kobe will certainly be back for boarding whenever I go out of town or on vacation. I am so excited to have a better life with my dog and have a happier dog. Please take your dog to CR Shepherds, you only have things to gain!
