Country Life K9 Training

These trainers are the dog whisperers, they are FANTASTIC. My lab puppy was already good natured and pretty well behaved, but she needed to learn recall, heel and to stop counter surfing. She came back 3 weeks later the PERFECT dog - we keep up the training and 1.5 years later, she's still perfect. We still board with Lauren and Sarah when we go out of town, as my dog loves it there. I have sent several others to Country Life and they all have the same feedback. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Country Life K9 Training is the greatest gift we could have ever given our dog or ourselves. My husband and I took our 4 ½-year-old goldendoodle to Lauren and Sarah about two months ago. Our biggest issue was walking. He would drag us around, dart from side to side depending on what he wanted to smell/when, and Lord help your shoulder if he saw a squirrel or bunny. He also had an unappealing habit of howl-screech-barking when he was at windows or on the deck and saw an animal or person (or thought he did). And this noise was made at all times of the day and night. Our friends had success with Country Life, so we decided to give it a try. Best decision we could have made. We went for a walk as soon as we got back from picking him up after his 4-week stay and it almost brought me to tears. I kept looking down to make sure he was still there because there was absolutely no pulling. We were finally the “slack leash” dog walkers we’d always dreamed of being. As a bonus, he seems happier, which of course makes us happy. Lauren said he’s a dog who likes to have a job, and everything we’ve seen since bringing him home confirms this, including walking in heel. He’s also calmer and more relaxed in general. It’s like Lauren and Sarah taught all three of us the same language after years of barely understanding each other. He doesn’t howl/screech anymore. On the handful of times he’s barked, a quiet/barely there noise, we’ve corrected him as instructed and he responds immediately. During the first week of having him home, we came up with over a dozen clarifying questions we hadn’t thought to ask at pick-up. I sent them over to Lauren and Sarah and as promised, they were all answered, quickly and in great detail. The support is truly never-ending, which is so immensely appreciated. We’ve boarded him with them since his time there, which is also so huge. It’s almost too fairly priced and we know he is in the absolute best hands while we’re away. We truly cannot recommend Lauren and Sarah enough. They have changed all three of our lives for the better and we are so grateful.

I just want to come back and leave another review. Our 6 month old Labrador Ranger went to Lauren and her team and graduated in the beginning of the summer. Ranger who is about to turn one went on a family camping trip this past weekend, and we received so many compliments about how well behaved he was and listened extremely well for not being one yet. It’s always nice to get feedback from strangers. He stayed in place when other dogs or people walked by and did not bark at them. He also did amazing on all of our walks with his leash, and even did some walks staying by our side without his leash. We are so happy with his progress everyday. Thank you Lauren!!! Lauren and Sarah are amazing. I was at my wits end with my girl Leia. Through my coworkers I found out about Country life K9 and signed my lab pit mix Leia and waited almost 6 months before her training. They worked on her confidence around different scenarios and realizing that her owner will advocate for her and not put her in scary situations. She’s such a smart brave girl she just needed some help. I would 100% recommend Country life k9 for any behavioral issues!

Attending Country Life K9's board-and-train program was a life-changing experience for our Rottie, Sake. Before the program, walking her in public was a nightmare; she pulled on the leash like a runaway train. Now, it's a joy to take her to places with us, including the racetracks, where she handles the crowds and loud noises with ease. Thanks to the foundation Lauren and Sarah provided, we can now continue building on Sake's obedience.
