Cottonwood Ranch And Kennel

Ted is a great human, and one of only two people I ever fully trusted with my late Golden Retriever, Malachi, who was with me for around 15 years. If dogs had their own planet, Ted is the person from ours I’d nominate to be our ambassador there. Whenever I couldn’t take Malachi with me, I preferred having him cared for by a professional rather than by friends or family. I always chose Ted because caring for and working with dogs is his profession, and he’s dang good at it. He genuinely loves working with dogs, understands the animals he trains and boards extremely well, and develops solid relationships with them. My friends and family cared about my dog, of course, but I never quite felt that they cared about him in the same way I did. With Ted, I always got something closer to that feeling. For me, the important question was never, "Who can watch my dog?" It was, "Where is my animal going to receive the highest quality of care?" In my opinion, that was with Ted. I think people sometimes project what makes humans comfortable onto their pets. A person might prefer staying in a house rather than at a ranch, or sitting in a spacious back seat rather than traveling safely in a crate, but they are human, not a dog. Dogs get an enormous amount of enjoyment and enrichment from smelling, exploring, moving around, and having experiences that engage their minds. Ted’s place gives them endless sniffing opportunities, tons of room and stimulation to explore, and people whose actual job is to care for them. To me, that meant Malachi was spending less time sitting around a house wondering why his person, me, wasn’t there, and more time actually being a dog. I’ve also seen Ted interact with many of the dogs he was training, and let me tell you: that man has a knack for it. If anyone ever did, he does. He connects with animals remarkably well, and you can see it in the way they respond to him. I highly recommend Ted, and I truly have only good things to say about him. Thank you for everything. :]

Ted has been taking incredible care of my yellow lab for over 7 years and wouldn’t even consider boarding him somewhere else. My dog loves Ted and he takes great care of my dog. I feel totally comfortable leaving Fin with Ted for extended periods of time…up to 4 weeks! I boarded Fin after a major surgery and Ted took extra special care Fin and made sure he was comfortable and was a big help with his recovery. We all love our dogs and it’s comforting to know my dog is in good hands and makes vacations even that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend Cottonwood Ranch and Kennel to everyone I meet who has a dog.

Ted is the only guy I trust with my hounds. Whenever I travel, I bring my four hounds to Cottonwood Ranch and Kennel for boarding. Day to day I am the one who takes care of my beloved pups, When I travel, I must know that they are in the BEST care (like mom would give them) My hounds go crazy in the car when we drive up to the ranch, they are so excited to be there! I know Ted & his family love them like I do. Puppy camp at Ted’s means they get lots of exercise, big hugs and excellent care. Ted is a great trainer, some of my pups have been to the Ranch for that too. I have been bringing my dogs to the Ranch for many years now and it’s the only place I trust with my babies.
