We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Cornerstone K9 and, most especially, our trainer Sandy! We sent our 15-month-old Golden Retriever for a 4-week training program focused on both on- and off-leash training with an e-collar, and the results have been amazing. Throughout the entire 4 weeks, Sandy kept us updated with pictures, videos, and progress reports, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dog was happy, well cared for, and learning. It was clear from the updates that Sandy truly cares about the dogs she works with and takes pride in what she does. Not only did our dog come home with a much better foundation and improved obedience, but we also came home with the tools and knowledge to continue the training ourselves. Sandy was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. She took the time to answer our questions and make sure we felt comfortable continuing the training at home. We’ve already had our follow-up session and are so impressed with the continued support. We’re also planning to use Cornerstone K9 for boarding with follow-up training in the near future, which says a lot about how much we trust them.

From Feral to Forever Companion – Rihanna Saved Our Future I had only owned my young Jack Russell Terrier pup, Ricky, for 20 days before my husband’s sudden health crisis began. During that agonizing period of medical emergencies and hospice, my home life fell into absolute chaos. My dogs endured severe isolation during sudden, days-long hospital stints, causing them to become destructive, highly reactive, and essentially feral. After my husband passed, the dogs went away for 45 days. When they returned, I was entirely overwhelmed and simply not ready or equipped to handle the trauma of the past year. Knowing I couldn't manage, I made the heartbreaking decision to look into rehoming. My other dog was already 4 years old and luckily hadn't acquired too many destructive behaviors, so she was successfully rehomed. But Ricky was a highly reactive project, and no adopter wants to inherit that. He needed a miracle. Enter Rihanna with Cornerstone K9. Rihanna’s service was seamless. She picked Ricky up for a one-month Board and Train program while I traveled out of state for my father’s celebration of life. I expected to return to a dog that was merely "adoptable." Instead, Rihanna returned a completely transformed companion. Being an incredibly willful and determined Jack Russell, Ricky is a lot of dog to handle. Rihanna functionally rehabilitated him from survival mode, laying down rock-solid foundational obedience and managing his severe reactivity. She introduced an E-collar system, which has been an absolute game-changer for his focus and boundaries. While Ricky is a Jack Russell and still a work in progress on all fronts, Rihanna didn’t just drop him off and leave. She is actively training me now. She is giving me the exact tools and confidence I need to continue the incredible work she started. Because of Rihanna, I canceled the rehoming plans. Ricky is staying with me. He is now a manageable, well-mannered partner who travels with me and brings immense joy to my daily life. I highly, highly, highly recommend Rihanna and Cornerstone K9. Rihanna didn't just save a dog; she saved our future together.

If you're considering dog training, I highly recommend Mike at Cornerstone K9! I enrolled my 130-pound Cane Corso, Kash, in the 4-week Board & Train program, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Kash is a lovable Mastiff teddy bear, but he needed structure, direction, and reinforcement of his basic commands. Before training, walking him was a workout—he pulled so hard on the leash, and let me tell you... Kash is STRONG! After four weeks with Mike, the difference has been incredible. Our walks are calm, enjoyable, and I haven't experienced any leash reactivity since bringing him home. Just yesterday we encountered a cat. Kash noticed it first and became alert, but thanks to what Mike taught me, I was able to redirect his attention, and he stayed focused on me instead of the cat. That moment alone showed me how effective the training has been. Mike also worked extensively on recall, and Kash now comes back when he's called, which has given me so much more confidence. We're still working on him holding his sit and down commands until he's released, but that's on me now. With consistency, patience, and continuing to practice what Mike taught us, I know he'll keep improving. Mike's knowledge, patience, and commitment to setting both dogs and owners up for success really shows. Thank you, Mike, for giving Kash and me the tools we needed to build an even better relationship. We appreciate everything you've done!
