It's never occurred to me until now that I hadn't reviewed this place, so I wanted to drop my honest thoughts. I did a lot of searching for a good place to train, Copilot ended up being the place I chose. The training I've done with these people has been amazing. They work hard to try and accommodate you and your needs. Natalie goes above and beyond from my personal experience with her. They are welcoming and treat the dogs amazingly! I've gotten to have my dog used as a distraction dog, and I can safely say I fully trust them and feel safe even if the dog seems scary or too much for my pup. The board and trains I've seen have turned out so amazing, from scared and anxious to much more confident dogs. Natalie herself has had countless conversations with me over text when I have questions on training, and when I voice, I need more outside training around other dogs she helps set up stuff. This company truly works hard and shows their passion for dogs with each customer. They turned my dog, who had zero interest in training into a driven dog who wants to train daily. Before starting the program with my standard poodle, i was ready to give him up. At first, my poodle had a few lessons with Natalie and after a little while, i could tell he needed more training because of the time in between the training. She told me that one of her trainers, Maddison, is an excellent dog trainer who specializes in poodle training. Water two straight weeks of working with me and my poodle, Mr. Wendal, I can say the obedience on his park and the confidence and knowledge on my part have change our lives with Mr. Wendal! Amazing Training Experience at Copilot Academy! We enrolled our Mini-Australian Shepherd, Bentley, in the 6-lesson package at Copilot Academy, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Bentley was just 8 months old when we started, and the progress he made under Ashley Ghegan’s guidance was incredible. Australian Shepherds are smart, energetic dogs, so proper training is essential. We wanted Bentley to keep his lovable personality while learning to be obedient and not just follow his own agenda. Ashley helped us achieve that balance beautifully, and her guidance was key in shaping Bentley into a well-behaved, obedient dog while still letting him be himself. Ashley set clear expectations from the start: the real training was for me! This mindset was key, and it’s absolutely true. I also recommend involving the entire household in the training process. If everyone isn’t on the same page, it can make the training more challenging and slow progress. Consistency truly makes all the difference. By the end of the 6 weeks, Bentley had graduated the advanced obedience course and even passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen certification test. All of the instructors I interacted with were professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. Their enthusiasm and expertise really shine through. I also highly recommend purchasing the suggested training equipment—it made a huge difference in Bentley's progress. A big thank you to Madison Clark and her poodle, Bailey, for being the "distraction dog" during Bentley’s training sessions. They both were great to work with and added so much value to the experience! If you’re considering training for your dog, I can’t recommend Copilot Academy and Ashley Ghegan enough. This was such a positive and rewarding experience for both Bentley and our family!
