We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our behavioral trainer. From the very beginning, she was patient, knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly took the time to understand our dog and his individual needs. She gave us practical tools and guidance that we could actually use at home, and she never made us feel judged or discouraged. Her understanding of dog behavior was exceptional, and we could see a difference in our dog and in our confidence as owners. She took the time to truly understand his behavior rather than simply trying to correct it. Eileen has taught us how to recognize when Oakie is feeling anxious or nervous and, more importantly, how to respond in a way that helps him feel safe and comfortable. This has made such a difference in understanding him and knowing what he needs. One of our biggest challenges has always been vet visits. Oakie would become extremely stressed, making the experience difficult for everyone. Eileen taught us techniques to help him have a much less stressful veterinary experience, which has been a HUGE improvement for us. She also helped us pinpoint possible health-related factors that may have been contributing to or triggering some of his behavioral changes. I really appreciate that she looks at the whole picture and understands that behavior can sometimes be connected to what is going on physically.
