We had an absolutely wonderful experience with this academy and owner Mike! Our puppy, Mars, attended their training, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Camila was his trainer, and she is truly exceptional—so knowledgeable, patient, and deeply professional. The entire team is incredibly skilled, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. They don't just train the dogs; they genuinely care about their well-being and comfort. We felt completely safe leaving Mars in their hands. Thank you Confident Canines for taking care of and helping out our beloved german shepherd/lab Rexy. We had 2 consecutive incidents at home where unfortunately individuals were injured. I asked for help on a local group and Mike the owner told us he could help. After the consultation we had Rex join the 4 week boarding and training program. We only met Camila during the follow ups and she was great and loved our dog. I'm sure the other trainer Mark did a great job with him as well. There are many dog trainers in the area with great reviews. Here is why we felt here was a great fit and we are happy with the service: - They are passionate about large working breeds and not afraid of them. The owner was very confident, comfortable and experienced when we told him our situation - They are realistic with respect to the dogs as an animal. They don't make unrealistic promises like "Your dog is going to change completely and never do this again" but rather, they know how to work with dogs wants, needs, and how to motivate them to have better behaviors. They give us and the dog tools and knowlege so we can work together to prevent the chance of incidents and create a safer and positive enviroment. - E collar is used as a tool, not punishment. The facility focused on real training with a lot of positive reinforcement. Their approach was not dependent on the collar however for us we felt it was good for training since our dog has aggressive/stubborn tendencies. When we went to pick up Rex he was very happy, motivated to train, and actually - confident! I recommend Confident Canines for anyone with a large dog who needs some guidance and training with their behavior. We now have more hope to keep our dog and family all together in the same home. So we send our dog here to be trained. We express our uncomfortability with prong collars and they put a prong collar on our dog. They judge the absolute hell out of you. And im working with my pup on the trainings the best i can while working 2 jibs and trying to graduate. The trainer carmella or whatever her face is, will not only put a pring on your dog but will lass judgement of if you dont have time dont get a dog without knowing anything about clients lives and how i make time my mom who works over 90 hours makes time and will look at you like your below her. So i dont really reccommend this service. Super expensive too, and theyll talk you into a klarna or some loan bs. But yeah go here for good training for your dog but judgement from staff.
