I signed up to have my dog trained at CK-9 Training but had to cancel a few days before the training start due to unexpected financial circumstances. I emailed Heidi at the last minute and let her know that I wouldn't be able to go through with the training and even though her policy is no refunds after two weeks, she took it upon herself to refund my deposit. Heidi is very professional, courteous and considerate in the way she conducts business and I am sure this reflects on the way she trains every dog she encounters. Even though I never met her in person (just on the phone plus emails) I know Heidi is a very kind person will definitely recommend her to anybody.

We had our Chihuahua in their 2 week, home stay program. She came back with a solid foundation of commands and was picking up new commands the day we brought her home.
Heidi was a pleasure to work with and these new good behaviors are rubbing off on our older chi.

I started researching a puppy bootcamp almost 8 months ago. I met with Heidi in January and was very excited to get my Pit/Boxer mix enrolled in training after spending just an hour getting to know Heidi, EJ and the program plan.
I was impressed with the amount of experience they have, the knowledge and planning that is put into their business and after this short intro meeting - there was no question that I was bringing my dog in.
My dog stayed for 2 weeks - that was the hard part cause we missed him:-)
My dog is a very stubborn boy and even though we had been working with them on walking, pulling, stealing pillows, shoes, come commands....in the end, he did what he wanted when he wanted and it was starting to become very frustrating and crippling to section off the house into a place where we could control him. This is not how we imagined having a dog....but we love his cuddly nature, friendly attitude and playful energy.
Prices for CK9 Training were the most competitive that I found for boot camp - and I shopped this, had friend's refer trainers...between the balance of cost and feeling good about the match - this was the best choice.
During check in, Heidi made sure that she had a clear understanding of the issues that were being addressed and set the expectations of how the program worked. I walked out feeling as if we were on the next step already.
While my dog was gone, I received a weekly report on how things were going - we were excited and shared those reports as a family...anticipating his arrival back home.
During check out, EJ was fabulous! He carefully went through everything that they worked on, changes that they accomplished and how I can ensure that I am a successful mommy when he comes home. Then, we practiced because EJ wanted to make sure that we WERE GOING to be happy and successful. I could not have asked for more.
My dog has been home for just under 2 weeks and I am amazed!! We work on training for 10 - 15 minutes a day, but all day - he does what he is told when he is told to do it. He has turned into the dream dog that when people come over and say "oh my gosh, your dog is so well behaved" and you just know that while it's early in his training, you are absolutely a little more proud that your dog didn't just run and trample that person or their child from excitement - he is just the cool, fun dog that everyone wants to be around.
I am not saying that I doubted Heidi and EJ....but I am so impressed and believe in their work. They are SUPER dog trainers, a great team and I am so blessed and grateful to have met them!!
