Competitive Edge Agility & Dog Sports

This place is awful. I took my 5 month old puppy to Competitive Edge for obedience training. Our puppy had a problem with jumping and biting. This is normal and very common, but they offered very little helpful training or instruction. I asked what we could do to teach our puppy to not bite, saying how difficult it made to having the puppy around my young daughter. They were quick to blame my 4 yr old and suggested it was her fault for getting bitten. They made me feel like it was my fault the dog was biting and jumping. I left feeling guilty and defeated after each class. They suggested I sedate our dog or return her to the Humane Society. I didn’t pay for obedience classes to be told I should just drug my dog. Beyond not helping address the problems I’d brought the dog there for, the classes were lousy. For each hour class we probably did 20 minutes of actual training. All the sitting around tested my patience and my high energy puppy needed a lot more engagement. We’ve kept the dog and are not sedating her. We are basically starting at zero with a different class. I would not recommend.
