Alex and Commonwealth Pet Care are fantastic with my dog's pet care needs, (especially for a dog that needs a little extra special attention). I was dealing with a newly adopted Beagle (Junior) who was terrified of literally everything (including me and his own shadow). I contacted Alex at Commonwealth Pet Care for private training and confidence building training. The improvement was very obvious and we were successful in rehabilitating Junior, and building up his confidence and tolerance to new things and strange noises. He behaves like a completely new dog, and no longer hides under the bed for hours at the slightest noise. Junior is now very confident and out-going, and absolutely loves meeting people and other dogs, including strangers and new dogs. Junior is now the social and affectionate dog I always wanted. Alex is very knowledgeable, and patient with both Junior and I. He made sure I knew what I was doing and why, so I could practice everything at home. I was so impressed by Alex's professionalism and the results we achieved, that I use him to walk Junior when I am working late. I appreciate the updates and GPS tracking he uses, so I know Junior is being walked and exercised properly. I also use Alex to board my dog when I go out of town. Alex picks up and drops off Junior on-time, and Junior loves seeing Alex. Alex is the only person Junior gets super happy to see and howls for joy when he sees him. Alex sends me numerous daily videos and pictures of Junior and how much he is enjoying himself. Junior also loves being around and playing with Alex's dog Apache. I would highly recommend Alex and Commonwealth Pet Care for any dog, especially one with special needs!

My family uses Commonwealth Pet Care for boarding when we go out of town, but we started using Alex for training when another trainer referred us to him. Sara, our Canaan dog used to pull on her leash excessively, trying to play with other dogs and jump on people. After working with Sara for around 15 minutes, Alex was been able to walk her on a loose leash. I was amazed on how quickly he got her to behave and walk comfortably on a loose leash without her pulling. He showed us how to keep her attention and keep her under control to prevent her from pulling. It was us, the humans, who needed the majority of the training. We are so thankful that we can walk Sara without her pulling and getting out of control. She sits patiently for petting, and greets people and other dogs properly without overwhelming them and embarrassing us. We are also very thankful to know Sara is safe and in caring hands when we board her with Alex, the peace of mind is priceless. We couldn't go out of town and on vacation without knowing she is with Alex. We completely trust him and appreciate the personal attention she receives while she boards with Alex at his place. We definitely recommend him.

I have a lot of trust in Alex and his team. As a client of Commonwealth Pet Care for two years, since day one, they have taken great care of my two dogs. I am very impressed with his training skills and professionalism. His training has had such a positive impact on my dogs. My family adopted both dogs from a rescue shelter, both dogs are older, very sweet, but at times showed signs of aggressive behavioral issues.
