Alex of CPC is a Lake Ridge gem! That’s to put it in a nutshell. Our pup Sadie has been trained on basic obedience by CPC since she was 8 weeks old. The training to me as a dog owner included constant reminders of how to deal with my pup in day-to-day situations. For as long as I followed the rules, I see Sadie succeed. After the basic training package, we continued to join CPC-sponsored walks and training to help her socialize with other dogs and people. Also, Sadie would often stay with their dog BnB which helps her get used to being away from us. This is really helpful on occasions where we would have to leave her for a long period of time. We’ve also asked Alex to visit Sadie at home on a regular basis to keep her walking exercises on schedule when we’re unable to. CPC also offers group AKC CGC training which helped Sadie build confidence in being a good and respectful dog around people and other dogs. Sadie is now 2 years old and thanks to CPC’s many services, we are able to manage Sadie’s sense of entitlement as the baby in the family. Alex has been part of her growth and development all her life and we’re proud to say that Sadie is now a certified AKC CGC dog and ready to conquer more of the world’s challenges. Thanks to Alex who has been very patient with us, is consistently disciplined in his training philosophy, is highly respectable and very reliable with time, and is very considerate of our needs. Safety for dogs and humans is his priority and I am big on security for my loved ones. Being a client of CPC with Alex is always money well-spent in my book. Truly a gem!

Alex is the best doggie trainer and he treats my dog like family. I wanted to get her trained up as a puppy and he learned her mannerisms to understand her trouble areas. He offers group walk training in local neighborhoods or more crowded areas to help dogs get accustomed to noises people and other dogs. He also does one on one training and has helped watch my dog when I was on work trip. He's so good with her and he has his own dog, which is her new bestie.

This is the long overdue review for Alex. I have been struggling with the reactivity of my three pomeranians for a long time. I had tried group classes, private lessons, and online resources, but I didn't see any significant changes. When I contacted Alex, he invited me to join the group walk where my girls could get exposure to other dogs and strangers. The group walk provides a controlled environment where they can learn appropriate behaviors and build their confidence. Alex is there to correct the inappropriate behaviors of dogs and educate us on how we can improve things. His method works, and I am already seeing improvements. The girls are not perfect yet, but they are on the right track. P.S. Not only Alex, but also the group is wonderful. They are very kind and understanding.
