Do service dogs have to wear vests?
According to the US Department of Justice, service animals are not required to wear a vest, ID tag or specific harness. However, all service animals are required to be harnessed, leashed or tethered unless if it does not hinder the service animal from doing their job.

What do service dogs do?
Service dogs are trained in order to assist people with physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual or other mental disabilities with tasks. There are no words to express how terrific Ali and her team are at Command K9. Their team’s experience in dog training is exceptional and only matched by their love and care for their animals. I cannot believe how well my dog is trained and how additive he is already to my life.

It has been about 6 months since I picked up my new best friend/service dog, Kasey, from Command K9 Behavior and I could not be happier. Kasey has made a significant impact on my daily life. From church to dr's office to restaurants to college football games, he is excellent at home and in public, performs tasks instinctively and follows commands immediately. Despite my "hands-on" training being cut short due to a hurricane, I have had zero behavior issues. We have bonded and his addition to my life has not only been seamless, but he has helped open up the world in ways that I did not even know I had closed. After only a few months, I cannot imagine life without Kasey. Ally and her team "knocked it out of the park" and I lack the vocabulary to adequately express how exceptionally grateful I am to them and the time they spent training Kasey.
