Colorado Gun Dogs

Dave has been amazing with Pippa. I brought her to him at 4 months for the head start program. I added 2 more months of training and she is amazing Have been hunting pheasant with her starting at ten months old and she always impresses. So far she has come up with three hen pheasant, one dusky blue grouse, and one hen mallard. I didn’t fire a shot she grabbed one pheasant three or four feet off the ground no shots!! She means business I can’t thank Dave enough for the work he did. He’s always in touch and checking in. He gets just as excited about the stories as I do. Pippa is a 22 month old chocolate lab that has put over 100 pheasants in the air and retrieved every one that hits the ground. Is she a flusher? A pointer? A retriever? A hunting dog? A bird dog? She is all but most important she is a straight up GunDog!!! I couldn’t be more proud of my teammate and best friend Thanks Dave Geoff Lautzenhiser

Can’t say enough good things about Dave and his assistants at Colorado Gun Dogs. They’ve had my lab in their hunting dog program since he was 6 months old. Now just over 10 months, you can tell, he is going to be a hunting machine. On to some advanced stuff before the basic program is technically finished! We often hear the phrase that dogs are the best judge of character. You can see that in the way every dog Dave trains, responds to him and genuinely loves the work and training he provides. He knows his stuff. They trust him. I trust him with my dog. You should too.

Dave is an amazing trainer he has had my two hard headed chessies and they are hunting machines now. I leave them there during the summer so they can get the discipline then need and are ready to be run all winter long. With Dave’s training I no longer have to go after my own birds and no longer lose birds. From blind retrieves to long marks and even triples my dogs now do it all. Dave is an awesome trainer who has many years as well as patience to deal with the dogs. I have known him now 3 years and have never seen him lose his cool with a dog like you see a lot of other trainers doing. I can not say enough good words about this kennel. Thanks again Dave!!
