Cold Creek Dog Training

My dog Emme, a black German shepherd, needed help refining some of her good qualities and help break her bad ones. Nadia helped her learn to go up and down stairs. Taught her basic commands. She also help socialize her so she wasn’t so afraid of people. They keep me updated on her progress and asked me question to help them with her. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in their hands. They even have reached out to see how things are going after her stay with them. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a trainer.

Our training was primarily handled by Cindy (and a couple lessons early on with Nadia). One of the things that impressed me from the beginning was the time spent by the trainers educating me on why my dog (Olive) was acting the way she did and what we could do to help with it over time. The trainings never felt rushed or cookie cutter, and I walked away from each session with a better sense of control over the whole situation. Our specific issue with Olive was her reactivity to other dogs, which made walks around the neighborhood and hikes in local parks an unpleasant experience. After an initial consultation, we decided to go with the "Challenging Dog" program which provided us with a variety of training sessions in our home, around the neighborhood, and even at nearby parks (when Olive was ready). The training itself was both straightforward and impactful. The early lessons were built up and expanded upon as we went, making the entire system feel organic with a natural sense of progression. By the end, not only does Olive handle the "distractions" better during our walks, but I am better prepared to understand the situation and redirect her energy pro-actively. If you're on the fence or if you've tried to google and DIY it in the past, I'd really recommend giving this a shot. The knowledge, structure, and consistency of the training is what helped us in the end.

Our dog Rajah attended four weeks of challenging dog Board & Train to work on his reactivity with Nadia. His demeanor has shifted in the best way possible, and he is now so much more comfortable at home, in the yard, and on walks, regardless of who is passing by! Prior to training Rajah would bark at and chase every dog (and most humans) outside of our yard, and when he broke through our fence, we knew we needed help from a professional. The training he received has helped him feel so much calmer. He is now able to relax in the yard with us, and even walk on the same sidewalk as another dog, something we never could have done before! He's still alert when people come to our door, but now we're able to tell him to go to his bed and he listens while we handle our deliveries and visitors without interference. We are so grateful for the work Nadia did to help our boy (and us) live more peaceful lives!
