Cochran K9 Training

We did a board and train with our 2 year old English pointer named Josie. Matt was amazing and we can’t recommend him enough. Our main goals were off leash recall and on leash walking and he successfully trained her (and us) on both of things. He fine tuned other basic commands as well. Josie is very sweet but as a working breed, she is very high energy and has a high prey drive. He gave us ways to get her energy out while embracing her natural instincts. He turned natural instinct and high energy into productive behaviors to not only make us, but Josie much happier! Would recommend Matt to anyone with any dog training needs.

I have been working with Matt for several months and I have to say his depth of understanding TWC training runs deep. Getting certified in something is one thing but truly understanding all the facets of the training and being able to teach it is something truly extraordinary. I find Ivan Balabanov's philosophy with dogs deep, intricate and genius. Matt has really a talent for capturing this genius work and is able to articulate the teachings to me in a way that I have constant light bulb moments. The relationship with my dog continues to grow in positive ways and our play is finally taking off. I can't wait for magic to really happen! But I know I will get there because I have Matt on my side helping me achieve my goals for my best friend and I.

Matt has been amazing with my paco. I am so happy we connected. He is training paco through play and you can tell paco is so receptive to it. Paco is a blue heeler and is weary of strangers but Matt and him bonded right away!! I got to visit paco while he was in training cause it was his birthday while he was there (which was so nice) and he has improved so much. You can tell he totally trusts Matt and I can tell Matt gave my little man a lot of confidence. He was also listening to me too so it’s not like he just listens to Mat. I agree with his approach to training because he truly cares about the dog above all and working with the dog. I also love how he lives every day life with them and doesnt pressure the dogs. It’s so laid back and loving. Like one Sunday they were watching the Steelers game while paco was just chilling with them taking a little break from training. Seriously can’t say enough good things about the set up. Thanks Matt for taking amazing care of paco taco!!!

Matt was absolutely incredible from start to finish. I could tell right off the bat that he cared for my puppy as much as I do. Everything was very thoughtfully explained before, during and after the training, and I felt very comfortable leaving my pup in such good hands. Riley and I are having a blast now that we're back together, and I couldn't be happier with my experience working with Matt. Best decision I've ever made!
