Dan at Coastal K9 is an absolute gem! My boyfriend and I enrolled our 2-year-old lab, Trevor, in the 5-class package, and it's been a game-changer. Trevor, with his doggy ADHD, had us running in circles with past training attempts, but Dan worked his magic! Before Dan, walks with Trevor were a nightmare. He'd pull relentlessly, nearly knocking me off my feet countless times. But now? Walking with Trevor is a joy. He listens, respects boundaries, and walks right by our side like a pro! Can’t recommend Dan and his Model Citizen Program enough. He took our 8 month old anxious, fearful, and out of control German Shepard and helped her evolve into a confident, well mannered, social butterfly. He also does a tremendous job of teaching the owner how to integrate training into everyday activities and playtime with your pup. As a first time dog owner , couldn’t be more happy that I found Dan.

We own two dachshunds, so at this point, everyone knows that barking was one of the issues we had. DeDe is a five-year-old, who we bought as a puppy. She has a bark that is beyond shrill!!. Rudi we rescued when he was five, now he is 11 and very anxious. Our 2 dogs have completely different temperaments and had very different issues. I cannot tell you enough how Dan has improved our lives and made our dogs amhappier than I ever thought they could be. His approach on training is that there is not one method that works for every dog. Going into the training,we knew we had work to do as he doesn’t just train your dog he makes sure you have the tools that you need too. One of our major issues was that whenever we had friends come over, our dogs, barked to the point. I never could enjoy having people come to my home. Our anxious one would have accidents and anytime anybody got up to move to a different part of our house he would just bark and bark and bark. We now have dogs that when people come over, they go to their place, sit on their bed and do not bark. They are much more relaxed and actually seem to enjoy having people in our home. I really wasn’t sure how the 11-year-old dog would do with the training. I am beyond amazed at where we started and how happy he is when we have company in our home. Dan has certainly changed our approach and understanding on what causes problems and how to solve them. We seriously cannot thank him enough for changing our dogs lives and ours.
