I’ve never done a one-on-one training with a trainer and my dog before and didn’t know what to expect, but I couldn’t be happier! Tracy is so knowledgeable and helped me learn so much about my rescue dog Walker who we adopted from GCAS 9 months ago. Tracy has done so much for so many struggling dogs at the shelter, I knew it would be a good experience. But I believed it would only help Walker. I never expected to grow so much in MY confidence in handling my strong boy out in public. Tracy helped me understand that his excited behavior in seeing other dogs was in fact excited behavior, and not a sign of aggression. I’ve learned how to handle his excitement and facilitate meeting other dogs should that be something I feel is appropriate. I couldn’t be more grateful, Tracy!

I highly recommend Coastal Canine Coaching! Over the course of three sessions, Tracy took the time to really get to know my dog. Our first session was a meet-and-greet where Tracy observed my dog's personality and behavior, which helped build a strong foundation for training. She then accompanied us on a positive vet visit, helping my dog form a much better association with the veterinary clinic. For our final session, Tracy introduced my dog to her wonderful helper dog, Titan, at the dog park. She made it a positive and successful experience that boosted my dog's social skills and confidence. Tracy is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about helping both dogs and their owners succeed!!

I would highly recommend Coastal Canine Coaching and Tracy. This is her with Chuck, a mostly blind GSD that ended up at our animal shelter with his brother after being failed by humans their whole lives - but they had each other at least - until his brother got adopted and he was left all alone in a loud, scary place with so many not great smells and not enough love from people. He was not going to make it out - he was put at the top of “the list” and would lose his life if they needed to make space because of overcrowding- this was leading up to July 4th - ALWAYS the WORST time for shelters… Tracy stepped up immediately to start working with him and though she didn’t have much experience with blind dogs, she used her skills and knowledge to come up with a plan - she reached out to dozens of rescues and people with experience and she made it her mission to help this sweet boy feel safe and loved in a world without his brother. And her hard work paid off - she found him the most amazing rescue where he’s now getting the one on one attention he needs and deserves. He’s alive and THRIVING because of Tracy. That is a fact. He’s not the first broken down/ defeated/scared shelter dog she’s saved and I’m confident he won’t be the last. We are so lucky to have her here doing all this for FREE - making time in her busy days to work with the forgotten ones. Can’t say enough awesome things about her.

Tracy was absolutely key to helping us integrate our foster dog into our household with our two resident dogs! Our foster had a tendency to play very intensely, which created a lot of chaos. It got to the point where we were holding back on letting them interact. Tracy’s expert advice and guidance gave me the exact confidence I needed to keep going. Her methods worked perfectly! All three dogs now get along wonderfully — so much so that we ended up adopting our foster! We cannot recommend Tracy enough.
