I have been taking classes with Barb for more than 6 years. I cannot say enough positive things about her program. I have a 150lb Newfie, Maximus, so I thought this would be difficult; Barb was amazing. She knows how to evaluate dogs and behaviors, which is HUGE! We've been through AKC Star Puppy and right into Basic Obedience. My newf LOVES going to Coal Dogs. We are continuing sessions in obedience, not because he needs it, but because he is a much happier dog when hes active and learning with me. We also tried Rally Obedience, which is a blast! Barb makes it fun and motivating. She knows how to create a welcoming atmosphere and the bond you make with your dog is absolutely priceless. Maximus and I highly recommend Coal Dogs!

My wife and I have been going to Coal Dogs for nearly a year now with a few of our dogs. The experience has been great. Private lessons available and small group classes (outside in the summer!). We get individualized attention and plenty of socialization practice. Barb helped us make a good dog even better and got us off to a great start with our puppy. Barb works with you to develop your skills in training and handling your dog. Whether she can use a tried and true method or needs to modify things to fit your dog's way of learning, she takes the task seriously. So, if you need to "fix" an unruly dog or just want to strengthen your bond and do more with your dog, I highly suggest you check out Coal Dogs.
